Spotted the ad in the Greater Toronto area Employment News for Aug 8-15 issue. From the fair's website:
Admission for visitors - $3.95 per person
    - Free admission to the first 50 visitors each day!
    Registration on site only
    (no pre-registration)
The Fall edition of the Job Fair will be at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
    Odd hours though:
    Thurs. Oct. 1: 12-6pm
    Fri. Oct. 2: 10am-6pm

Newcomers with a PR card can get a free welcome pack from one sponsor. See the August 3 post for conditions: http://thenationaljobfair.com/n/en/n....html#Article1

Agreed! Why would they charge for a job fair? I find it ridiculous, most people going to job fairs are unemployed ( although I am sure some are looking for something better) but I think it's sad that they would charge the people that can afford it least..........

Likely the reason is that the central location in prime downtown real estate is to convey to participants the value of being there rather than in an industrial park or some far flung location with sporadic transit service or none at all. Besides, one can walk over to the main financial and retail districts and prospect job opportunities afterwards.

I personally want the fee to be a rounded amount. Seeing $3.95 is not the same as $4.
