Running....I do ultra marathons, trail runs, and warrior dashes. I have a lot of 1st in my age group finishes and top 5/10 finishes beating people half my age. Call it good genes, but you still have to put in some hard work which is why I run at least 5 times a week (minimum 10km weekdays, 30km+ on weekends non -stop)
If a person can't run 5mins without huffing and puffing, they have a problem. Age has nothing to do with it, I take out a group some older guys and some women in their 50,60 and 70s, and most are able to keep up to a distance where I can see them when I look backLast edited by beachdown; Thu, Sep 10th, 2015 at 05:59 PM.

I used to love jogging, until my a-hole roommates started laughing at me every time I got home... They've since moved out, so now I'm just trying to build back up my confidence.
I also love yoga in all varieties (though I've never tried hot yoga).~*~I take proofreading, writing, and lettering commissions~*~

Very elementary yoga. Can't do anything high-impact, so simple stretches are it. Of course, it does get exciting when there are helpful critters who insist on critiquing.

Kettlebell workouts are my favourite.
Edit: I should also say walking. I love walking. I walk at lunch, usually between 2-3km and on weekends I go for hours long walks around the neighbourhood or to one of the parks near me and do the trails.Last edited by trishka; Tue, Sep 15th, 2015 at 09:16 AM.

What a jerk. I hope you build up your confidence soon. I've experienced something similar. I used to like going to the gym with my friend, it was our way to spend some time together and he was helping me get fit and lose weight. He had to work late one night, so I decided to brave it and go myself. A couple people there made some not so nice comments about me and my weight and I haven't been to a gym since, despite my friend trying to encourage me to go back. I have since discovered a love of walking and kettlebells and decided to stick to those and save myself some money.
