Full Attention and Act Now, Toronto Parents!
Registration for 2015 Fall/Winter Leisure & Recreation Programs, including general programs, fall skating and swimming lessons, and winter camps, will begin in about 24 hours, specifically,
North York Thursday Sept 17, 2015, 7:00am
General speaking, there are many reasons for you to consider municipality programs for your children
- Conveniently available at many community centers across GTA and in your neighbourhood, many of them in walking distance
- Great variety (arts, fitness, cooking, computer, skating, skiing/snowboarding, sports, swimming etc) of programs for all age groups, even gender specific, private 1:1, or family fun
- Inclusive programs for children with special needs, e.g. Integrated Service at City of Toronto
- Often more affordable, for example, City of Toronto offers Free & Low Cost options for Recreation Programs
- Well governed in the aspect of safety, standard service, staff qualification
The clock is ticking, it is time to ACT, and that is NOW!
- Do your homework before registration starts - search / determine the specific programs (and save the program barcodes in a word/notepad) in advance, and the available tools
- Print or electronic copy of Toronto Fun Guide (varies by district)
- Toronto Fun Online, navigate by category (lacking in search)
- KidsPrograms.ca (you got to try), map-based, ability to search by age, address/postal code, days of week, etc
- Set your alarm clock to Sept-16 6:30am
- Have your computers ready
- Write down your Client Number / Family number for online login
- Save the bookmark for Online Registration
- Wake up on time and let the Fun begin!

Believe it or not, the spaces are taken up quickly, for example, "Tiny Tots Swim" / "Preschool Swim ..." at Etobicoke and Scarborough.
For parents interested in programs in North York / Toronto & East York, you still got 2~3 days to get your acts ready and leave no headache / regret behind.Map IT - out-of-school programs & camp across GTA
