Oh, it has been ages since I had a doughnut!
My favourite is a longjohn with white fluffy creamy icing with tons of toasted coconut on top - I have two fave family bakeries that make them here - but it's more than a year since I had one!
Then there's the walnut crunch from Tim's - oh, they used to be so good. Even when they changed a few years ago, they were still okay. They might be gone now, I think - I don't know, haven't been to Tim's in a year.
LOL, just realized that I definitely have to up my doughnut consumption!

In the olden days, whenever my Mom went shopping downtown, she would pick up a box of chocolate glazed donuts from Woolworths. To this day, nothing has come close to their awesome gooeyness.
Whenever DH and I head over to the island to camp, about half-way there is a Tims that we stop at and he picks up a box of TimBits...where are the raisin ones? I don't see them there anymore.
I don't eat donuts now, but...BUT...once in a very long while I used to pick up a box of plain honey-glazed ones and oh my...nuke one for a few seconds until hot and gooey, then eat it with a fork.

OMG, my favorite one and that is the only one I eat is a GOOD PLAIN DONUTS from Tims. I just LOVE them as they are so good and I don't feel guilty when I eat one as they are plain.
Thank you Danger Dan for your Quot. It is fun....................................

The Krispy Kreme original doughnut! It is a good thing we don't have those stores anywhere around here since I end up going on a binge when I have the chance to eat them. Are they even in Canada anymore? I've only seen and gone to the ones in Vegas.

The one's with the raisins are the Dutchie TimBits...The Lady and I absolutely love the Dutchie donuts
unfortunately, I don't think many other (or enough any way) liked it enough for Tim Horton's to continue making them...I've asked at every single (yes EVERY SINGLE) Tim's I've been to for the past few years...they don't have them anymore...some servers look at me with questioning eyes and say they don't even know what that is...shows how old I am...or young the staff is...or the turn over rate of the workers...but that's a whole different post/thread in itself.
Nothing like a good plain donut every now and again! The Lady and her brother are heading over in a few weeks to make some Homemade Plain and Sugar Donuts! I can't wait! She gets to spend time with her Grandma and Brother, I get homemade donuts!
...and you are very welcome, I really enjoy posting the Questions
Yup Krispy Kreams are around...few and far between, but around. I find there are more "Serve Yourself, ready by the dozen" style kiosks in gas stations (mainly Petro Canada) than actual KK Shops around.DANGER

I just love Blueberry Fritters. I usually pick one up at Tim's a couple of times a week.

I love the honey glazed or chocolate glazed donuts, though not as much now that they don't make them fresh anymore. DH will ask me if I want anything when he gets his TH coffee (frequently) and I usually ask for one honey glazed Timbit. It's supposed to be $0.15, but they must think he's asking for his dog or child and give them to him for free. Or maybe it's because he's such a loyal customer.
