Hi, I found out this information in a composting class that was "Free".

You can use coffee grounds instead of expensive fertilizers. The coffee grounds work better - and they are 100% natural. Plus the coffee grounds are sterile, because they had scalding hot water running through the grounds. I went to Tim Hortons (thanks Tim Hortons) and they sent me home with tons of coffee grounds and paper filters. I put the grounds in the garden, along with compost we had made for grass clippings. I put the paper filters in our Compost, we are going to make great compost this year - thanks to a free course I took.

Here is a video that will show you want I mean.

I first learned this a few years ago from an older woman I bumped into at a Spring garden open house. We were looking at these giant Hostas, when she gave me the tip

Well of course the ultimate one is horse and cow poo if you happen to drive to the boonies and can scoop and contain it to transport in your car

^ Always knew the Llama was special. I had a good bonding with them when I went to Peru and did the 4 days Inca Trail Trek

I play a game where I toss my banana peels from the top of the stairs down towards the rose bush ,a good toss is when it lands under the rose bush and a bad toss is when it hangs from the branches of the rose bush. I heard that the roses like the potassium in the peels.
