Been a month without leaf and yard waste collection in Hamilton (due to pandemic situation and employee absenteeism) but I spotted a brief mention in today's Spectator about some changes in the City of Hamilton.
But it will start collecting yard waste again on April 20 — on a revised schedule.
Ferguson said there have been a lot of misconceptions about why the service was halted, but he noted there has been a roughly 30 per cent rate of absenteeism among waste collection staff.
He said the city is training employees from other departments that have seen services curtailed to collect leaf and yard waste.
