In 2014 there were five bonus redemptions. We've had four so far in 2015, but they were earlier. In 2014 there weren't as many in the spring, but there was a higher level one in September, which is why it really feels like a drought this year.

Thanks for posting this, super807. I thought the last one was end of July but if I had checked my agenda, I would have seen that it was the weekend of the 11th and 12th

    Bring on the next redemption!

I know that in 2015 I did the spend 95k points for $170 and get back 30k points one week later. I think that offer was in July 2015 and that it was the last bonus redemption offer this year so far.

EDIT: Just checked my calendar -- the spend 95k points and get back 30k points occurred on June 26, 2015. This was probably a personalized offer, but not certain.

They are definitely cutting back on their promos . It used to be at least twice a month Spend $50 get a $10 GC for seniors .. not anymore. It took almost 2 months in between 2 last ones.

Really miss not getting points back when you spend points They had it a couple times spend 95,000 pts get 30,000 pts. I even think I got a personal offer for spend points get points back!! I'm not spending as much as I used to..but I still have enough for over 2 redemptions, close to 3!!

oh yes that was my fav. and yes they did it as personal offer before and mailed offer before too. (I never got the personal offer unfortuntely only mailed one.. )
I hope that Novembers one is exactly that as all the rest of the flyer advertised redemptions this year has all been $200 for 95k which isnt really that great considering the prices of things are usually more on redemption days.

Was at shoppers at 1am and clerk said mega redemption just before Christmas. Didn't give any actual dates but said its $210..on 95,000 points or $105 on 50,000 points. Im not as high up there as some of you but have 42,000 points lol. I'll probably hold off till next year.

Hope you're right! I have enough for both a 95,000 and a 50,000. Would like to use the 95,000 on a tablet (if they have it available) and the 50,000 for a food bank donation.

I was at SDM this evening buying make-up and I was told something very interesting by the staff. They have been told that the 'mega' redemption will be available not through the flyer, but only through the Shoppers Drug Mart app. Apparently some customers who have been given a 'heads up' about this are quite upset because (of course) not everyone has a hand-held device. She also indicated that part of the reason for doing this is that they want to enforce the "two redemptions" per person. The app allows them to do this. (Another tidbit she offered up is people's growing dissatisfaction with the Optimum program and the way it has become 'technology' reliant -- if you don't have the technology you don't get the deals.) Anyway...I was quite intrigued to hear all this. I am not sure whether it is completely accurate, however the staff member I spoke with has worked for Shoppers for several years and she is very familiar with the Optimum program. For those who are planning to do multiple redemptions for Christmas shopping, I hope for your sake that this is not true. I only have enough for a $200 redemption -- unlike previous years where I had enough to do 3-4 redemptions just before Christmas. My SDM shopping habits have changed.
