hadn't seen this before - so thinking i should not have even mentioned this
TORONTO – How is Paul Bernardo, one of Canada’s most notorious serial killers and rapists, able to pen a graphic, violent novel from prison? According to one criminal lawyer, it’s within his rights as a prisoner and he is likely the one profiting behind bars.

I understand why people are upset. But I'm not sure I agree with censoring reading material that we don't agree with because where do we draw the line? A lot of people voiced their complaints and amazon decided it was in their best interest to pull it - something I also understand.
I think most people who chose to buy the book did it more out of curiosity than a desire to support Bernardo. I was curious enough to open the look inside feature, but then couldn't bring myself to read a word of it because the man is completely repulsive to me. I think the best thing to do in a situation like this is just not to buy or read the book, giving him as little attention as possible.

I don't understand why anyone would publish it in the first place, probably just greed.

^ It was published independently through amazon's self-publishing program. You can publish anything through them without anyone screening it first : https://kdp.amazon.com/signin?language=en_US

when i heard it existed only in a kindle mode on amazon.ca,
i tried to call them, ended up with a chat person, as phone was not working,,,,
anyway nice person, but hard for me to type how awful a lot of canadians
feel about this situation -
those people - they lived in the same town as one of my youngest
cousins. and they could see where this happened, for too long.
a little while after i complained, about this, it did disappear, from
amazon, i know they are lame at doing the right thing at times, but
it does seem if enough bother to type or call,, perhaps it does help.
(not sure where the amazon person i talked with was from, but i did warn
her not to look at anything to do with him)
shutting up, if i can, but am so peeved amazon allowed this,, sighing

I think part of the issue is that Canada's most notorious serial killer isn't very notorious in the rest of the world. I am happy to hear that Amazon pulled it after learning who wrote it. He does not deserve to profit from what he did.
