I used to love Value Village but I have found it very expensive the last few years, and there are so many deals at the retail store lately...but today they had 50% off so I thought I would go and see if I can find anything for my trip..I brought my daughter and we found quite a few items, I bought 2 pairs of sandals, one pair was $3.50 the other was $6.00, a long black rain coat(to the ankles, like the Matrix), love it!! I bought 2 tops $3.00 each, daughter bought 2 pairs of boots, 1black pair of Aldo's, 1 brown pair both are suede. 5 sweaters, one from Artizia, Banana Republic, garage, forget the other one's.. Shoes and boots look almost new!!

Nice!! We just came from there also. Lots of tops from Gap and American Apparel. My daughter likes to "hack" her clothes so I don't like to pay full price in case things don't turn out once she take the scissors to them.

If you have the value village membership card you can go the day before the sale, and still get the 50% off, I love it, because they usually have the sale on Monday and I work Monday.

thanks SavvyLady. I stopped by my local value village, got the membership and a few items for 50% off. A soft green and yellow baby blanket $2, a set of mitten and pot holder $0.50 christmas theme. I wanted a maternity coat but couldn't find one.

I like going the evening of the actual sale date because they often will put everything else in the store(excluding red tags)at 50% off after 6 or 7 pm.
