I'm a fan of the oldies mentioned above, as well. However, NO Home Alone movies, please!
I think the only 'modern' one I like is Elf.
Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe
The original Grinch
one sleeper I found one year - Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck and James Gandolfini
.... and I'm a sucker for the Hallmark-type Christmas love story and family movies, etc.
Best Christmas movie overall - The Nativity Story

Christmas Vacation
Bad SantaI can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

I wouldn't buy Love Actually, but if you see it in the TV listing it is well worth watching.

I think the live action Grinch is blasphemy...my opinion only.
I think they ruined it. Can't beat the animated one. Love Boris Karloff. Perfect voice.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

I love, no LOVE "Love Actually",in fact it’s on the PVR to never be deleted. I think because I love British menand all my faves are in this movie, but it is a total chick flick.
My fave Christmas movie is the original preferably black and while version A ChristmasCarol. Every Christmas Eve DH & I stay up watching it on CTV after midnightwaiting for the boys to fall asleep. This year we will break that tradition, unless they are playing it in Cuba.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
