I never buy an item I don't need just to meet an optimum points offer spending requirement (e.g. spend $10 and get 3000pts). However, sometimes I find that I'm just shy of the requirement by $0.49, $0.29 or even two cents.
In those cases, I usually pick up a tissue box or a small can of soup for about $0.69/0.79. I'm running out of room for tissue.
Does anyone know the cheapest items at shoppers or any items that are less that $0.50?This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

Last time I was there the carnaby gummy bags near the cash that are normally $1 were on sale for 50 cents.

I know what you mean. I buy facial tissues. There is usually 1 brand on for 69/79 cents.

same here. i don't buy stuff from SDM for the points. this week i had spend $10 on food and snack and get 3000 points so i bought milk and 3 boxes of oreo cookies for $10.13 (before taxes) my family consume these items anyway.
i didn't think about getting a small item like you said to reach the requirement amount. Thanks for the tip.

I usually end up buying a chocolate bar that my hubby scarfs down...not really something we need, but he enjoys it!
Next time I'll try to remember the tissue deal. He might not like that as much though!

I also get the carnaby gummies. I find that tissues are cheaper per box of you get the pack of 6 and use a coupon. That, or a coffee crisp lol

Water (although a bit of a pain to run back and get but my closest SDM usually has some close to the cash). Usually the cases are on for a half decent price ie. this weekend the 12pk was $1
