Shoppers Perfume Sampler with $80 coupon

Can someone please answer this question. I received a sampler perfume kit from Shoppers from my sister and it has an $80.00 coupon inside which I can use on any of the Perfume Fragrances in the kit. I am curious to know if I use this coupon , will I still qualify for optimum points ? Thanks

You can use it on the perfumes that are sampled in the box.

I saved mine until perfumes were more likely to have special promotions at SDM. I redeemed mine for a perfume that had 4000 or 5000 bonus optimum points at Valentine's or Mother's Day (sorry, can't remember the exact holiday)

And of course the cashier was rude as heck, and told me that the points won't apply, so she was refusing to swipe my card. I made her swipe it, she saw the BP's and rudely told me they would likely be removed from my account.

Thanks for the information. I was curious to know if I would get points on the value of my purchase. Or do I have to try and get some sort of perfume that happens to have the bonus points? Thanks again for your help

You will not get points for your purchase. Only if they are bonus points attached to the product. Has far as 20x or 18500 wus 75$, you will Not get those points.

When I got my points, it was because the specific Calvin Klein that was sampled in the kit was in the flyer with the little purple circle indicating that a certain amt of BP's was attached to the purchase of the product.

anisa, I don't know why some cashiers are so reluctant to scan Optimum cards. It takes a fraction of a second, and it's up to the system if it awards points or not. Besides, even if the purchase is completely non-pointable, Shoppers still wants to know what we're buying

the person " gifting " you that sampler box ( your sister ) received the Optimum points at the time she bought the box, so they will not award points again when you redeem your coupon. I got the one for men 3 years ago for my DS and got the points, he just turned in his voucher
( coupon ) and got the particular cologne fragrance he liked.
