Not a coupon, PM, MIR, cash back or sale kind of brag but I still needed to brag!! ha ha
I have started swimming again ( Feb 4th ) after many years of NOT swimming, and it was quite slow at first. I was nervous wondering if my rhythmic and calming breathing would come back to me doing my front crawl or would I resort to doing the doggie paddle and side stroke from end to end? Turns out it was like riding a bike!
The Community Centre Pool I went to nearly every weekday ( weekends I rested ) was a good fit, their location, and scheduled lane swimming was workable, and it was free!!
However, this morning I discovered the Pan Am Aquatic Centre ( I have to pay to swim there , just $1.75 , but FREE parking! ) and the place was amazing!! Even closer to home too!
The pool is the largest one I have ever dipped my toes in!
I still swam for 45 minutes ( like at the Community Centre ) but these lengths are on a whole nutha level! The pool is 50 metres! That was a lot of strokes! Woot! Woot! I am thinking when this evil white stuff is melted I can bike there!!This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Beautiful pool ! Is it full of chlorine ? lol My community centre pool is mostly saline.
I love swimming and have an indoor pool in my apartment (one of the reasons I moved here) but they keep it very hot for the elderly : ( I've asked them to compromise on the temp, but to no avail : (

no!!! With all the bacon sales on right now, trust me I have to put blinders on at the grocery store! Swimming ( sadly ) boosts my appetite to double the intensity! It is all I can do to control myself once i get back home to prep a meal! I feel like eating a meal while the other one is cooking!!

Oh the Community Centre one is borderline warm ( as in IF it was any warmer I probably would not have gone back ) AND that one is SO chlorinated too so I do have to wash my suit thoroughly before going the next day.
That sucks that the one right in your building is set at that hotter temp. quite unfair to tenants who are not that elderly.
This Pan Am one is fantastic though, not too warm or cold ( Goldilocks approved....." just right " ) they must use bromide or something? ( or like you say a saline solution ) because no harsh smell at all, and the water is crystal clear too! I can tell it is not chlorine.
Happy Dancing still!Last edited by walkonby; Wed, Feb 17th, 2016 at 02:34 PM. Reason: spelling

NOT a chance @torontogal12
I am safer on land, or in a lane very close to the edges of the pool!
