My doctor told me that I have to eat meat at least 3 times a week to boost my low-iron blood levels. I was mostly vegetarian, so that was a shock.

So what did silly me do? Buy a whole beef cryovac beef tenderloin, because it was on sale. Now I have no idea what to do with it. I think I'm just going to lose it...which is an expensive mistake, let me tell you!

Anybody want to come to dinner? You have to cook this thing, though! LOL! Man, what a dummy I am. Thing is taking up so much of my fridge; I have to do something about it.

( Do they call it cryovac because you cry once you realize that it isn't easy to deal with?)

It wasn't a mistake if it was a good price!

You don't have to cook the whole thing at once, though you could.

You can cut off a chunk to roast, then do other things with the rest.

    Just some pointers

It's a delish cut of meat, so tender - BUT you need to season the heck out of it!

I can't even tell you how I did the last one I made - I tend to cook on the fly, so it just depends what ingredients I had on hand at the time.

It's an excellent cut for steaks. Cut it up, zip it up in sandwich bags and zip those into a freezer bag for protection.

Just buy iron pills or eat more grains, nuts, legumes and seeds which are naturally higher in iron. Then you don't contribute to the pain, suffering and torture the animal endured.
