cross body bag is a nice gift. buying for teens can be tricky!! Of late when buying for nieces and nephews at xmas I've bought gift cards e.g. Cineplex Odeon, Gap etc. It is nice to buy something more personal if she has given you a wish list.

Like the last poster said, unless she has given you a list, I wouldn't buy something that you think is nice as she might not share your taste (which might not be "cool" to her). Give her some money to take her closest friends out for a meal at some fancy restaurant.
They will take selfies and post it on Facebook / Instagram and will talked about for a while.

LOVE the idea of a personal gift, Mia! Vera Bradley would be a name she knows and it's such a thoughtful gift. This is just my personal opinion of course, but it shows that you gave her some thought, considered what she might like and shopped exclusively for HER. It's personal and that's the important part here...I hope you pick up either bag for her.

I just googled images for Vera Bradley bags - wow, are they ever cool - very hipster! Such awesome patterns!
That's definitely a great idea, Mia!

If you know her interests like favorite band, singers, show, play, books or if she want to meet some people or like puppy or kitty?

Hmmm, stud earings are a nice gift but ive learned over the years. Every time i gave one of my granddaughters earings, they were lost within a week or two. Either they lost the backing or an earing. So i dont give jewellery anymore. This year for my granddaughter #2 (b-day was Sunday) we gave her money for shopping, just me and her. She gets to pick a restaurant (not McDonalds) and then we go shopping for what she wants and then a movie. Granddaughter #1, whose b-day is at the end of the month, wants an iPhone (hahaha). Not quite in my budget. But i know she is also asking for some flourescent coloured running shoes (no idea how much they cost or who makes them), so i figured i would take her shopping for that and spend the day with her.
