In Sept of 2014 I decided to switch to " equal billing " for my hydro. Just wanted to make my budget cleaner/more organized knowing every month it was going to be the same amount due. S...I...G...H........it makes no difference now really as any increase hurts. Soon I will be getting my new monthly " equally annoying bill " amount and it won't be pretty!!

I'm on equal billing too. I hope it isn't to painful. It's not a good situation at all.

Sometimes I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. I get fed up with doing laundry, cooking and running the dishwasher at night. Yesterday I gave up and washed and dried a load of laundry during mid rate but waited and ran the dishwasher during low rate.
I am still going to be conscious of my usage but just not all the time. The government runs enough of my life already.

someone has to pay for all the new wind turbines and solar panels being installed all over the province
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Thanks for the article elecgtric_viking.
However, because prices were rising, Ontarians started using less energy. Power use dropped by 7 per cent between 2006 and 2014. But at the same time, thanks to subsidies to encourage greater power production from green sources, the province’s generation capacity grew by 19 per cent. As a result, the province is now a major exporter of electricity – sold at prices far below the cost of production. The more power the province exports, the more taxpayers and ratepayers lose.
This makes me so angry, what they are doing to Ontarians.
I thing we will be drying our clothes outside on a line this summer. As we have started batch cooking on weekends;, so no cooking during the week.
