CIBC has a $ 300 promo and RBC has a mini Ipad promo, which might or might not be better for you depending on your needs and convenience.

The SMART Tv is the one you have to turn that voice recognition feature off else whatever is said in front of tv could be sent to third-party, right? Privacy issue for some.

Some Smart TV's have that feature.

But this TV is just a Smart TV where you can stream Internet on the TV directly via Wi-Fi, so no additional gadgets like Chromecast, Roku etc are required.

Basically you can watch youtube, stream other videos, audio, even check email etc directly on the TV, instead of watching it on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
