If anyone is looking for solar post lights, you know how expensive those plain square, generic lights are...so how about making your own for a LOT less money?!
I did something similar with a tall, standing plug-in outdoor light fixture we had...DH took the bulb out, cut the wire, and we put it into the hole in our table that we don't need for an umbrella, since it's in the gazebo. I have a candle in it instead of the bulb! I'm not sure it was designed this way, but there's one small panel of glass missing in the top which doesn't show at all, which helps keep the candle lit!!
Anyway...back to post lamps!

Sorry I can't give you the direct link, but it asks for an email address, so just do a search for DiY Cedar Cube Landscape Lights, and you should be able to find it!This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Lynn49; Wed, Jun 29th, 2016 at 01:30 PM.

Another idea from that site: an old light fixture, a jar lid, a crumpled coffee filter in the bottom (to keep the soil from falling out), a plant, and voila!
Do a search for: Repurposed Glass Shade Into a Planter

Thanks Lynn, for the great idea, my husband made one for me and it looks fantastic! He ran out of wood, but will be making more! It took him no time at all!!
