Agreed. I haven't personally shopped at Value Village in over 4 years, although when my parents visit they always want me to take them to Value Village. Each time my Mom complains about how expensive items have become and she ends up leaving with very few items. With such inflated prices for used clothing, the days of leaving with a cart-full of clothing are over.

Completely agree, the prices of items with the 50% off sale are what items at a second hand store should be. I went to value village on Friday to scout out and it almost discourages me from donating.

Value Village is a for profit organization and pricing is done at store level - I have seen many dollar store items priced more than what they sell them for at the dollar store. So there may be some errors that happen...these may also be in your favor - especially if the person applying the tickets is unaware of a brand (so it really goes both ways). Otherwise, I agree that they have significantly increased their prices to the point where it's not as 'thrifty' as it used to be.

I have seen tons of dollar store stuff priced at more than the dollar store.
It is rare you find anything of good quality at a good price.

Last week tho I found : Authentic Pandora Charms at $9.99 each!!! I was so happy to find the retired one I was looking for and I had the 30% off card

I also found : Lug Bags, Lululemon Bag, the Sac bag at pretty decent prices. Also a unworn pair of silver Ralph Lauren sandals that I will be bringing on my cruise this summer.
