Wow Lizzie! Seems so homey. Home away from home. ENJOY!

No recommendations for grammar books...I use Google. I edit my posts for clarity and grammar all the time...sometimes several times for one post. I try to avoid long posts, because I edit them more...

Survived yesterday. I'll be honest, I was watching the clock. While I had fun, no home daycares for me anytime soon.

Today I am visiting a long-time church friend who has recently moved into assisted living facilities. She is an independent one and can be a little gruff especially now that she is in her mid-nineties! I am sure the visit will help break up a hot day for her!

I have too much dill and leaf lettuce in my garden. I already offered it to friends last week, but only my neighbour took me up on it, so I posted it for free on a local Facebook garage sale page. I have several people interested. Already had one person pick-up.

It it was pointed out to me that SGI might write off my 2004 truck due to the damage from the recent accident. I really hope they don't want to do that. My truck was in an accident in 2007 and was completely rebuilt, so even though it has fairly high mileage, a lot of the major parts don't have that much mileage on it. I'll learn more tomorrow. *sigh*.

Dh and I got a friend to help us by supervising the twins in our house while we dug to the bottom of the wet stuff our shed. I didn't realize until this morning that I injured my left wrist. *ouch* I also picked up and vacuumed the living room last night.

I have a 4th load of laundry going right now for my neighbour. Did to the sewer damage at her house her basement is being gutted. She needs a new furnace, AC, hot water heater, washer, dryer, kitchen appliance that were in her basement suite. She also has a chest freezer in her garage that was flooded from the 5" of rain.

^^^ Oh man! How is your basement and water damage?

I just popped in to say I bought two boxes of diapers on clearance for $9.99 at Sobey's. They are Compliments brand. Being that the name brand are $14.99 for 32 I think 144 for $9.99 is unbeatable (almost)! I might save my Huggies of nighttime and use these for daytime if they don't hold as much.

Everyone on my block has sewer damage. We don't have a basement, just a crawl space. Our furnace is in the crawl space and we still don't have official word as to whether or not it will need to be replaced. Not sure if insurance will cover us or if the provincial disaster fund will have to pick up the slack. Some of the things that we lost in the shed are irreplaceable.

@Angela273 - so sorry you are having to deal with the accident along with the crap from the storm damage -

Regarding SGI, I'm not sure, but maybe you can refuse them writing off the vehicle? Or you could buy it back from salvage.
The latter happened with a car of mine - a Mustang which was written off after an accident. Turns out it was the adjuster who bought the car himself - it was in North Battleford, so it became obvious that it was my car he had after.

Oh, dill - so lucky you have lots - I've been looking out to get anyone's excess here!

We were very lucky two years ago - someone from church just came and brought black garbage bags full of dill for anyone who wanted them - and I took the time to do almost one full bag - chopped the fronds with salt and put in tiny zipper bags to freeze, and that dill lasted me two years; I just finished the last one.

Hope everyone has a great night!
Our son is coming over for supper and a visit!

Good Morning! Last work day for me this week!

I had an urge of energy last night and did some cleaning. What a difference a bit makes! Even cleaned off the junk counter (again). Tonight I do all the laundry. I am thinking of going to the laundry mat so I can go right after work and just get it all done!
Cleaned out the fridge last night too. Bought pizzas etc and hid them in the freezer for my teen this weekend. Will go to Food Basics tonight and grab some fruit for him (strawberries, blueberries etc).

Since you were at your house, coupon girl, a tank top and a casual pair of shorts work well as a temporary bathing suit, nana!

@Angela273 : I'm so sorry for the loss of your irreplaceable things. I hope the province/insurance sort out who's covering what soon.

After I found out I was pregnant, I started using my handmade soaps I've been keeping for a special occasion in the shower. I also took out my fancy expensive bottle of salon shampoo that I bought in a past life. It was 1 L and I've noticed it going down very fast. I only just clued in last night that for it to be going down that fast, DH must be using it as a body wash, once, sometimes twice, each day! I know I bought it on sale, but to buy it now would cost $40 + taxes! The bottle is almost empty! My pregnancy hormones and I were completely unimpressed.
