    How to close a Garden Center the Shwa Girl way
    Steps

    1. Visit the garden center in May and scope out the plants you want.
    2. Get to know the garden center staff and when mark downs will begin
    3. Be a regular shopper/browser at the garden center
    4. Last week at the garden center, ask if there are discounts if you buy multiples
    5. Get 75% off planters, with the exact plants you were looking at in May.
    6. Guard your cart, because someone will ask how much the planter is ( one lady wanted the planter but Shwa Girl got there first (sprint, lol)
    7. Call customer service and tell them that the garden center staff are A+ and that the garden center staff should get something for their great customer service. Escalate the call to head office and ask if each garden center staff can get a $50 gift card or a dinner out.


    Deals
    Large deck planter with 2 x hosta (rare, large ones, hard to find) + 2 x perennials, reg. $27.99, Shwa Girl price $6.99
    Boxwood hedge, reg. $8.99, sale $3.94, Shwa Girl price $2.24
    Swiped PC Plus card to earn PC points.

    And done.

    Went back on the last day and got $14.99 rose bushes for $3.74

    Amazing that you are able to find nice plants at this time of the year. Our garden center has a few plants left, but they look like they are doomed, so even at 50% off, not a great buy (or buy at your own risk and be prepared to chuck them).
    Would love to see pics as well!

    I agree. Some plants in the garden center are not too happy. That’s why I went for the planters. The planters were kept in a nice area out of the harsh sun, since they came off the garden delivery truck.
    Every plant was happy and healthy.

    Yup. Stalker's price indeed.
    I remember one year, someone was bragging at a garden center, that they paid $3.94 for their rose bush. The original price was $16.99. After that, I caught on that it was a good idea to be patient and to wait.

    No. You're not missing anything
    The grass is brown in The Shwa, with no rain.
    We are trying to make the space outside look half decent-->but we are amateurs
