Did you watch the Tragically Hip tonight on CBC? I did I thought it was great. Did any of you go to any of their concerts?

was a terrific concert. i like a lot of people know some of the hips songs, and also like me
were sad to hear about gord downie's cancer
when i watched the concert i felt sorry for anyone who had not been to a hips concert - what dingbats.
concert was mesmerizing, and i don't think it was just because of gord's future.
can't pick a video, as for me the great part of the concert was the concert.

I watched it too and thought it was great! CBC did a great job ! I hope I can buy the DVD on CBC.ca soon. I would love to have it. I tried to win tickets from Q107 in Toronto but nope! So we just at home and watched it.

So glad they aired it for everyone to be a part of. I grew up with The Hip and will never forget last night's show. We watched it at a local bar with some old friends. Such a truly inspirational Canadian band who will forever be in our hearts.

Well, I for one, am not a Hip fan. Never have been never will. I don't hate them, it's just not my style of music. I don't call people names for liking their music. You like what you like, it's no one's business but your own. I do not like being told that I am a "dingbat" for never having gone to one of their concerts. I resent that remark like you wouldn't believe. For all of you who are fans, I heard it was a great show and I'm glad that you enjoyed it, it's just not my cup of tea.

I donated money to the Gord Downie brain cancer research fund at Sunnybrook hospital where he is being treated. Terrible disease. This last concert brought tears to my eyes.....very sad.
New Orleans is sinking is one of my favourite songs by this band. I thought it was amazing that CBC broadcasted it commercial free.Last edited by barbis9; Fri, Aug 26th, 2016 at 04:52 PM.
