I don't know if any mentioned this yet, but Foodland is giving 200 air miles when you purchase a $150.00 gift card. This offer is valid between Aug. 26-Sept. 1. I like this offer because I don't have to spend a certain amount in groceries at one time to get the air miles, I can keep using the gift card until it's used.

I shop at Freshco more than I shop at Foodland, I'll have to see if we can use the Foodland gift card there, that would great! Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks! They have these every month or so - sometimes at Sobeys, sometimes at Foodland. I always buy them and use at Fresh Co.

Thank you for posting SavvyLady. We do not buy alot at Foodland. But, we do get our fresh turkey from there for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so my DH thought we should get two gift cards--400 airmiles! That will be a nice little bonus of $40 worth of food for December or January.

I agree.
From the Foodland website:
Gift Cards are available in amounts between $5 and $500, and can be used at any of our banners Foodland, Sobeys, Price Chopper and FreshCo across Canada.

Quick questions, since I' m not a hug air miles fan, do the air miles get added right away? i bought the gift card, and it indicates the air mile bonus, but the total of air miles in the box appears to be my last amount it doesn't include the air miles I just received!

SavvyLady... unless something has changed, you get AirMiles for cumulative purchases at Sobey's & Foodland. Meaning you dont have to spend it all in one visit. That being said, I dont know if it has to be done within a certain period or what, I've never put it to the test, but I was always told that going through the checkouts and I had read it in some fine-print somewhere when I went looking.
In any event, these bonus AM's for GC's promos are usually a good deal for a few reasons:
1.) you are (were) getting 150 AM's for a giftcard you are likely going to spend anyway...
2.) you are then double-dipping AM's when you DO spend it at the store... (because you get AM's anyway with regular purchases)
3.) if you DON'T spend enough or you don't normally shop at these stores, you can always turn around with your new $150 gift-card and buy other branded gift-cards and buy one for a store that isn't an Airmiles sponsor (Canadian Tire, Best Buy, etc...)
