Optimum ---> PC Points Conversion

Anybody receive one of these emails recently? Seems like they gave this a test and didn't like the results so scrapped it. Was hoping to convert all my points to PC

I was able to convert 95K Shoppers points to $170 in PC points once, I am sitting on another 95K SOP since then and waiting :D

Not since the initial conversion offer in April and that was barely a one-week opportunity. I had saved the links and tried during summer to try to convert again (got messages that offers were no longer available) . At some point, the tech team 404'd the links during the summer so that meant NO.

I can guarantee you the head cashier is just making an assumption and not based on facts. Store level people know absolutely nothing.

Some store staff do have the goods on future changes to programs-there are motivated folks keen to know them because they may be using the programs too or know some regulars will ask them about changes or new features.

Just returned from a visit to Loblaws. While chatting about PC points with one of my favourite cashiers, she mentioned that she just heard that the Optimum program will be closing next year, and if I understood her correctly it will be moving to PC points. I asked if they will be converting Optimum points to PC, but she said "No, you'll have to use them up." I'm hoping she received some wrong information but I suspect that it's on the mark.
Time for me to start looking for ways to use my Optimum pts! Freezer full of cheese?

I wonder if they had hoped to have an equal back and forth. Like even people switching from sdm to pc and vice Versa but had an overwhelming amount switching from sdm to pc.... Obviously I'm just speculating but makes sense they'd scrap the idea then and consider switching solely to pc. Although j don't think it will happen in the near future

It'd be a sad day, at least for me, if they decide to shut down SDM loyalty program. I'll need to find way to use up all my points or hopefully they allow a one-time conversion to PC points.

It's would be nice to use those PC points for gift cards. And then you can use them to buy something big ie) Canadian tire.
