Thread: Ebates.ca rant

Anyone else find Ebates "customer service" slow and obtuse?
I bought some clothing from Amazon.ca - the rebate in this category should be 4%, instead I get 1%.
Anyway, I email Ebates to ask them for an adjustment from 1% to 4%.
Their reply is that the order has already been credited, have a nice day.
Well yes, I know it was credited - the issue is that it was the incorrect amount!
This isn't the first time I've had an issue with these guys, and it's always like pulling teeth to get the issue resolved.
I really should have stuck with G.C.R. - I've always found their CS to be responsive and understanding (plus they provide real replies, not generic cut-and-paste) , but I got greedy and went with Ebates for this purchase. My mistake.

What category did you make your purchase from? I always check ebates canada and ebates USA to see which one is offering the best return. If USA is equal to CDN I use USA because of the exchange.
I've always had great customer service from both sites.
What is ?

I guess you just try to contact them again.
I've never had a problem with them at all.

I would be annoyed to have to contact a company twice because they didn't take the time to understand my message. I would also feel a bit worried that they may not carry through with their offer too which can be frustrating. I am glad it worked out for you in the end!

Technically you can, but the merchants will be somewhat different.
Ebates U.S. will of course focus on U.S.-based merchants, and Ebates.ca will be mostly Canadian merchants. So it really depends on how much shopping you do from U.S.-based websites.
There is some overlap, but you won't find amazon.ca on the site for example.

It's a Canadian owned and operated competitor to Ebates.
If you click through to an online shopping site after signing in and going through G C R first, you can earn back a percentage of your percentage which will later be paid back to you as cash or as Amazon credits, your choice.
