    Does anyone know the best place to buy honey? I figure a decent price would be approx. 5$/liter or kg? My local bulk barn has them on 'special' for triple the price, so looking for alternatives. I'd check out a farmer's market, but they are a fair distance for me since I don't have access to a vehicle!

    I haven't seen that price here in ages - it's double that here at least.

    It depends, too, on whether you want liquid or creamed.

    This week in our city, liquid honey is $5 for 500ml at Co-op;
    At Shoppers - Natural Honey Farms Liquid Honey (750g) or Billy Bee Honey (375g - 500g) $6.49 ea.

    Walmart has Billy Bee liquid 1L for 8.87

    I checked these on salewhale - check for your location

    Thanks @Natalka ...ouch, that is pricier than I thought. I always thought Billy Bee was the cheap generic brand?

    I saw Aurora honey for $6.49/kg at Metro last week, but $5.88/kg at Food Basics starting tomorrow.

    Walmart is pretty expensive for their generic Great Value honey. I can't remember the exact pricing, but it was somewhere near $7.97. I'd much prefer the Costco one for that price!

    Bee Maid honey uses 100 % Canadian honey and your best bet is to find a local honey farmer and buy honey from them.

    The Honey Bee Store carries over 60 varieties of Canadian unpasteurized liquid, raw, creamed and organic honey: blueberry, apple blossom, clove etc. Try that.

    We don't use much honey, but when I find non-pasturized honey at a local market I pick up a couple.

    We either buy the organic from Costco on sale or the Natural Honey Farms Liquid Honey from NoFrills for about $5.
