FEIT Energy Star-rated 40W and 60W equivalent bulbs on sale this week for $3.99 at Canadian Tire. Use Save on Energy coupon to save another $3.00 per bulb. Brings price to .99 per bulb. Usual price is $7.99.

    Energy coupons to use: https://saveonenergy.ca/Consumer/Pro...e-COUPONS.aspx
I believe the first coupon is the proper one; it is for $3 with 5 coupons per transaction.

    $3.99 -$3 = .99

    Thanks so much @wendymac !

My tear pad coups expired few months ago and I had just assumed the online ones did too. I'll def be picking up some this week.

Also just an fyi, around this time (and after x-mas) a lot of electrical supplies for x-mas lights are on sale: power bars, dimmer switches, timers, etc.
The same Save on Energy site has coupons for all of those items....so keep an eye out

It has to do with the wiring of the fixture. My main chandelier is fine - it has 6 of these bulbs. However the smaller recessed bulbs in my kitchen flicker sometimes. If there is a slight change of power in the fixture, it will flicker. It doesn't happen with old bulbs as they are not as sensitive as LED's.

    Thanks for posting!

Those energy coupons are for Ontario only I think. Does anyone know if there are any available for Quebec?

    Thanks!

I just found this great site:

ENERGY STAR Rebates and incentives directory - Search
This directory contains ENERGY STAR rebates and incentives available in Canada. For other programs available in Canada, please consult the Directory of Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Programs.

    Here's the link:

    http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/energy/produc...ams.cfm?attr=0

Just choose your location and it will show rebates/incentives in your province/territory.

Sadly, no coupons in Quebec at this time

I should clarify a statement I made in the original post. You can use 5 coupons per item, not in total. I'm buying 5 40w and 5 60w today for a total of 10 bulbs. Someone could buy 5 of each 3 types for 15 bulbs. And you could double up if another person is with you. Good shopping, everyone!

On the coupon it states the pre-tax needs to be higher than the coupon amount.

Kelsea 94...the pre-tax price is $3.99 which is higher than the $3 coupon. They put in the requirement so that people do not make money from purchasing the bulbs -- that is, the register does not give them $3 off a $2.50 LED bulb. We were charged tax on the $3.99 price so the total was a bit more than .99 out of pocket for each.

Thanks Wendymac! I misread it to mean the total tax had to be higher than the coupon. That's why it didn't make sense! LOL, I'm awake now
