@Lynn49 trust me I know what you mean. I know we have our own things to deal with but I was once in the hospital in Vancouver because I was in severe pain(which it turns out was gall stones jammed in my bile duct) I was laying in a bed in the ER waiting for a bed to open up in the hospital. The person in the bed next to me in the ER seemed to be having drug withdrawals. They were writhing in pain and I felt so bad for them. A nurse came by to say they had an open bed now and I was going upstairs. They wished me well and hoped my pain went away fast. I said thank you but I'm more worried about them(pointing to the person in the other bed) I said here I was feeling sad for myself but I hope they are going to be ok. The nurse actually had tears in his eyes and grab my hand and smiled, I forgot what they said though. Then they wheeled me up to my room. I often worry more about others then myself and sometimes I have to worry about me.

Boy, it's early!
DH had to go over to the kids' home this morning: our DD leaves for work at 7:30, and her DH is in Toronto after attending the Sting concert last night. He'll be driving home today. I thought it so strange that the cincert was held on a Sunday, not Saturday night. Yikes for those who have to work this morning.

Jenny's not impressed at the early start to her day; she's wrapped up burrito-style on my lap making cute puppy noises as she arranges herself and snuggles down. So precious.....

Weekend disappeared way too quickly!

Had a very nice visit with our son yesterday, he was kind and shoveled almost all the snow.
He stayed with me after supper while my husband went to prayers at the cathedral - the priest's wife's mom passed away.

Good morning everyone! I told my brother last night that I would lime to get up about 9.( Still lots of packing to do) But I took a "Help-you-to-sleep" pill and here I am! He's been up for an hour checking weather forecasts for Tampa for next week- etc.

Well we were late arriving at the celebrations for my mum's cousin but he was very glad to see us. Then he went for a nap so he could go to his beloved "Chatham Maroons" hockey game last night. We went to supper with the rest of the family and had a lovely time. Didn't get home until 7:30. I don't like driving the 401 in the dark. I had to laugh at the traffic in Chatham - THERE WASN'T ANY!
So today is my usual-"We're down to the wire here" packing day and I have my first Grief Support meeting tonight.

Delivered Sadie to the sitter yesterday and boy did I miss her last night. No puppie snuggles for me, Lynn!

Well, I can't believe the amount of snow you have, Newfiescreech! Wishing you lots of sunshine to melt it away!

/QUOTE]From one 'old gal' to another, I've been going to bed so late these past few months, then turning on the tv and wasting another hour or so. SO unlike before when I'd crawl into bed at 10pm watch tv for a half hour or so and drop off into a deep sleep. I'm still getting my 8 hrs, so waking up later, but jeepers...what changed, I wonder!

Has your sleep pattern changed in the past while, too, or is it just me?? I don't like this at all, but now 10pm seems to early. Ah, well...on to my homemade turkey soup from leftover turkey from dinner last night..DH did all the prepwork, the Sweetie, before he left to waste time at his pool hall with the rest of his golf buddies..hahaha....

Me too. I was always in be by 11. Now I try, but toss and turn till @ least 1:00
I just can't get to sleep, no matter how early I get up. It's so frustrating
