QOTD - Wed 25 Jan - Living In The Past?

I caught up on the TV show Timeless yesterday and one of the pilots went back to the past and lives near Jesse James. I was thinking a white woman living alone deep in Indian Territory in 1882 would not be my top choice of time to be stuck in the past.

So, if you were to get stuck in the past, what era would you choose and why? (You can't time travel to a time when you are alive, because it messes with the space-time continuum or something like that)

hmmmm, I am not very schmart about history and all, BUT I wouldn't mind heading back to say the day before the US election!! ( sorry I am breaking the rules about the space time continuum )
It was a happier simpler time then.....when everyone thought Hillary was gonna be the first woman President!!

I wouldn't go too far back... if I had to go back, maybe the 40's or later. You become accustomed to all your liberties, etc, that you would want to start at a time when women weren't merely possessions or unable to do things without the consent of a male.

I'd rather live here and now...I like my creature comforts too much.

Though I wouldn't mind being a member of nobility in Henry VIII's court. I know enough to make sure he wouldn't kill me for saying something wrong and upsetting him.

If I could just visit the past, I go to the Jurassic and jump on butterflies..
