Does Service Ontario provide a free driver's online handbook, I'm seeing something right here and is this it? (never seen one before so I don't know)

    http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dan...ion1.0.0.shtml

Is this the full driver's handbook right there? do I just keep clicking next? to go through the pages?
if someone has seen one, is this the whole thing?

The course you take allows you to get your g2 in less time I believe 9 mths oppose to waiting the full year.
There is no course for g2. At this point in less than a year you will be driving on your own with a few stipulations like 0 blood alcohol and possibly a few others

It is graduated licensing so you pay to write or practice each time whether it's written or driven
    G1 was written
G1 exit test is a driving test
As is your g2 exit test I believe 2 or more years later

Fortinos may also sell the books. They retail for about $14.95 for car drivers; could be different price for other vehicle drivers' handbooks. Chapters/Indigo will carry the books and Canadian Tire too.
Service Ontario used to many years ago give a free version of the guidebook-that likely changed in late 90s to a fee-based version. My father had an 1980s version that was fairly thick and talked about the handpointing used at Toronto crosswalks to indicate direction of crossing. That section disappeared in later versions. He also had the book used by bus drivers.
Some libraries may have copies but check the publication year. The self-activated light pedestrian crossing became law last year under the HTA (with demerit points/fines if not followed) so your guidebook should have a reference to that as drivers have to wait for the pedestrian crossing to get to other side before resuming driving.

Chapters mentions a January 12, 2015 publication date for its most recent version sold. No photo of the book is shown.

From the Publications Ontario site, an image of the 2015 book cover:
    https://www.publications.serviceonta...5&JavaScript=y
The website also states the book is available on the Internet. I think you'd find it easier to study with a physical copy as you can go into whichever room is quiet for study or take it with you to study during breaks at work. I find the online version a strain on eyes.

You can write your test whenever you are ready. You will do your written and vision test at the same time
You do not need the class but if you find have a car or anyone to drive with it might not be a bad idea to continue with the in car lessons.
The course also makes your insurance cheaper if you have a car or plan on buying one.
As for ID a passport is likely ideal but here are your other options

Thank you! Unfortunately I do not have any other ID with a signature, I did call Drive Test the other day, a woman told me they do not accept temporary passports, however, if I have a valid health card with a signature they will accept that...so we'll see because I was told they don't accept health cards.. (anyone else has experienced this? do they or not accept health cards when you were there?)
Not exactly trusting them, I went to renew my passport yesterday, hopefully it will get here on time..am very nervous.

I think the most frustrating part is I don't know what the time limits are for everything, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do next and when/how much time I have to complete it. What is the 8 months then for? between licences..what happens in those 8 months?

Another question I have, after I get my G1 do I have to go back and start school again? because...I am literally going broke with all these payments everywhere.. :/
had I known before how much all of this was going to cost me I probably would not have started because everything is coming at me all at once.

Afyer 8 mths you can apply for your g2 When you are done this course that's it there's no more courses to take unless you need to practice

Ty for clarifying that, some people I know they got their G1 and went to school again, just wasn't sure why, so it's just practice for G2? I'd really rather not go..but then how else can I get more road practice if I do not have a car?(nobody in fam. has a car either) darn!.... :/
    Sorry for the stupid questions.

I also heard there is a G1 exit test, at the end of 8 months? what is that? is that the G2 test?
sorry, it's just the way they say/write it it's a bit confusing.

Yes the G1 exit test is your g2 so when you pass the G1 exit test you get your g2
Same when you pass the g2 exit test you get your G license

Ooh, so that means I have 8 months to practice driving..darnit I wish the school provided cars for students for that time..for those who don't have one..darn darn darn..I guess I won't be able to practice..shoot..

and that also means I have 8 months to do my knowledge test? or do I have another time limit for that?
am I supposed to start knowledge right after finish school?
or can I do it on my own time within 8 months (because I would like to study more)

    -Thank you!

(I haate how fast this is all going..I thought it would be more gradual..step by step, you learn one thing first then another not everything at once, my mind is going in directions I have never seen.. I will never be so relieved in my life then I will be when I finish ALL of this..it's brutal!)
