No kidding, @Ciel .....DH and I just went through all the toothpastes to find one without SLS in it!! Finally found the Sensodyine Pronamel....I didn't really need a sensetive toothpaste but it's the first one I came across that didn't contain SLS.
Sodium lauryl sulfate can increase the incidence of aphthous ulcers - This has been confirmed in a handful of studies and it is suggested that the denaturing effect of SLS on the oral mucin layer, with exposure of the underlying epithelium, induces an increased incidence of recurrent aphthous ulcers.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Added as a detergent and cleansing agent, sodium laurel sulfate and its cousin sodium laureth sulfate pose a wide range of potential health risks. On its own, sodium laurel sulfate can damage eyes, irritate skin and lead to labored breathing. According to the American College of Toxicology, sodium laurel sulfate may stay within the body for up to five days, accumulating in the heart, liver, lungs and brain. When combined with certain other chemicals, sodium laurel sulfate transforms into nitrosamines, a class of powerful carcinogens that cause the body to absorb harmful nitrates.

Because we are bombarded with so many chemicals in all of our personal products - the less we can use the better. I was using Yves Rocher shower gels for years until they discontinued the Breton lilac (it was a to die for scent) and now I'm using up my shower gels and going back to unscented Dove bar soap.
Unfortunately, most if not all drug store consumable products have those ingredients! I have started using Arbonne products which are pure, safe and natural made with botanically based ingredients :-)
Arbonne carries a wide variety of products: skincare, makeup, health and wellness, sun, hair and bath&body.
Let me know if you would be interested, I can give you more information!
