Rexall has a receive a $10 gc wus $50 promotion this weekend. Just wondering if I need to spend $50 out of pocket or can I use coupons to bring down the total.

For example, if I have $6 in manufacturer coupons and the $5 survey coupon, can I pay $39 ($50 - $6 - $5) and get the gift card, or do I need to spent $61 ($61 - $6 - $5 = $50) to get the gift card. I know with Shoppers Drug Mart, you are at the mercy of the cashier.

Just wondering if anyone has any personal experience??

My experience, to meet $50 was without being reduced by coupons, prior to $25 survey coupon and includes tax to qualify for $50.

Oh thank you @rockco . So I'm reading this as you needed to spend the $50 after coupons (ie. the before tax subtotal had to be $50) but they let you use the $5 off survey coupon afterwards.

Based on the airmiles cash rewards being cancelled, I decided to shop Monday instead. But I'll give the next giftcard promo a try.

    Maybe I'm not understanding.

Spend $50 including taxes, not reduced by manufacturer's coupon & not reduced by the $5 off $25 coupon, should qualify for the $10 wub $50 promo. The only issue questionable is the taxes. Sometimes the cashier says I have to spend $50 before taxes, so play it safe and spent $50 prior to taxes.

ok, so the cashier needs to see $50 in the total? Some say subtotal $50 ie before tax, some are ok with total $50 after tax??? Do I have this correct? Sorry for the confusion, I usually try to stay away from the giftcard promos lol.

Do they let you use the survey coupon and still get the giftcard ???

Yes, they should cause the system prompts them, but there are some cashiers who choose to do their own thing and deny (but rare).

Thank you so much @rockco , I'll add my experience when I give it a try.

My shop tomorrow is for airmiles with the weekday spend $50/80 am coupon, usually $50 - coupons - survey works, still gets airmiles.

Air Miles is triggered differently and should work, but coupons are triggered by the system and it does recognize that store coupons (such as the survey coupon) brought down the total. On top of that, the cashiers sometimes say no even if the system triggers it!

Thought I'd mention I had two $10 Rexall promo cards to use up. They were treated as cash, however I couuld only use one per transaction when using them to pay. I could use the Rexall survey coupon at the same time though.
