I have a coupon "Save $1.00" on Danacol yogurt drink! I was so excited found it with 50% off pink sticker on it as good oppurnity to get $1.00 off too.
Cashier scanned all the food I bought then I gave her the coupons.
The cashier said it is unacceptable to use that $1.00 danacol yogurt coupon because it already took 50% off. I said I have a coupon which will expire in few days. The lady said "No!". I had to pay quickly because I had five kids with me.
If I am alone, for sure I will talk to the manager. Now I am writing this complain to RRCS but I need your feedback first to see if I am doing anything wrong. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

i have been refused this before aswell but as of last summer sometime, when they started not allowing coupon zone & manuf. coupon to be used towards the same item, i was told by a cashier & supervisor that we can now use a coupon towards a pink sticker item. this was at the st.anne's location.

The problem with RRCS is that their cashiers almost make up the store's coupon policy on the fly. I used to work there and during training they never told you exactly what to do with coupons. I used to just run them through as long as the machine accepts it.
These days though, to avoid the hassel I just go through the self-checkout line. The attendant there never gives me any trouble when I hand her my coupons.

I've never had a problem at any of the stores except the St James store - any chance that's where you went? Using cpns there is like pulling teeth - it hurts!

Applying a coupon to a discounted item is general acceptable practice. Nothing wrong there - you will need to see store policy to know for sure. Some cashiers, regardless of where they work may make up their own rules or be uninformed of store policies - which often change without due notice. Always ask to speak with a shift supervisor, customer service rep or store manager if you and the cashier disagree

I always have a hard time at the sargent location too. I think that the regent one imo is most coupon friendly!
