I can't believe it - $150 VISA gift card - I just won it

That's me ^, really it's me, my name, up there and it'll be up on the live site on the little scrolling bar that shows who won for the past week.


First I rarely win things and when I do it's Men's watches. Don't ask.

So two days ago I stumbled across Today's Draws a new site offering a $150 Starbucks gift card. Hmm coffee. Seemed like a it might be not such a great contest site, so skeptical as I was I took a look, the smell of coffee in the morning just lured me right in.

I liked 2 things about the site - one the winners real names were posted on the front page and two, they gave some pretty great assurances about no spam, etc. and were based in Vancouver, BC.

Plus, the winners have to post their win on their own Facebook page. If this site was junk, that would be outed in no time.

So I signed up. And entered.

They email you once each day about the new prize and to remind you to see if you won (you have to check; they don't notify you). So I clicked to see if I won Starbucks card. Nope. Oh well, spotted the VISA card, and entered.

So this morning, Autumn7 writes and says "maybe you'll feel better today if you out spending $150 from a Visa card". She wasn't 100% sure it was me and didn't want me to have my feelings dashed if she was wrong.

Oblivious to her hint, I just wrote: "LOL that'd be great" and went on my way.

About an hour later, I fell off my chair (good thing I was already laying down) cause I clicked to Today's Draw and there was my name in the winner's spot. Woo hoo and it's still there.

I think the odds of winning are good because the site is still pretty new.
