I was looking up weight loss supplements one time and I saw this link for a free sample of AcaiBerry Power 500, you just have to pay $5.02 in shipping and handling charges. It has been a week or so that I paid with my credit card, and I still haven't received it. I was wondering if anyone else has signed up for this offer and have not received it.

    Is it a scam??

I'd call your CC company and get the charge reversed.

Hi I don't think its a scam as much as reading the small print, if you notice at the bottom, if you don't cancel within 14 days, on the 15th day you will be charged 86.31 American dollars, for each extra month, also strangely enough when you do notify them about not wanting to receive their product, they make "THE ERROR" of charging you anyways, they ship you the stuff, you return it, and then....well you can guess the rest.....good luck!!!

Yeah I ended up calling my credit card company and they told me that the company had put it as a recurring cost, so they would charge me money every month. I just got the entire payment voided.

    Thanks for your feedback!

I signed up to a weigh loss place on line suppose to take only the shipping, they took a months worth of weight loss suppliments off my card cost me quite a bit. I never did that again. You have to read the fine print when you send for that stuff and use your card.

    Hi
I also ordered a sample, but it took them about 6 weeks to send me one. By the time my credit card was charged with small amount and also a first payment (monthly supply).
I call my credit card company and they stop paiments.
I was wery upset that shipping took so long, but they were fast to charging my credit card. I also call them twice and managed their payments.

but by then you'll have been likely charged once if not twice for the full HUGE price for this stuff. i know---- i lost a month to them just recently even though i cancelled when it was at the 12 day mark and the product hadn't shown up
today i got very angry about not being able to afford that charge --i'm disabled-- and i called them with paperwork at hand. to the amazement of the VISA rep i spoke with later (and who told me i couldn't be helped by them), i managed to threaten to fight them through their state and i got an offer of one-half my month's worth back.

so that's my tale. i'm supposed to be the one with the brains and now i'll continue to try to prove it

noneless, i hope y'all are enjoying whatever kind of holiday you celebrate....

    cheers,
    Coricat & Zach

same here, my roomate ordered the trial product, without reading the fine print.
one charge for 37.00 + and the other 2 days later for over 90.00. under two different company numbers, even though the "trial" offer came from one company
the credit card company was of little help. they said read the fine print.
obviously this has been going on for a while if THEY know about it.
i called and cancelled using the tel #;s provided on the statement.
supposidly there will be a reversal of charges since the products never arrived.
i wrote down the names and confirmation #'s given
if that fails then we just email the US postal service, who will follow up on mail fraud.
don't know if the product is any good or not, but will check into possible side effects, since the roomie is diabetic, with high blood pressure to boot.

    Sheila22,

You really need to watch out for those review sites. They get paid for everyone that signs up to the scam. It' sin their own interest to say what it takes to get you to order it. There are a lot of sites like that out there. I have been keeping track of them on my own site. Here is what I have so far:http://www.weightlossweapons.com/blo...ss-scam-sites/ Plus there are a ton more and I'm adding them to the list eveyday.

Some people don't call the Acai berry pills a scam, saying as long as you cancel before the trial is over you won't be charged. But the scam comes in when you try to cancel. You get but on hold for an hour or more and then get disconnected, emails don't get returned and the shipments do arrive for days or even weeks.

Your trial starts the day you order not the day you get them.

I just got scam even if you call them back they don't sent the product and still charged me 76.96$ . I cancelled my credit card and managed to call ACAI they said they will credit my account. She gave me a confirmation number but I honestly dont belive it. I will find out within 72 hours.

Long story short, NOTHING IS FREE AND THIS WORLD.
