If the person infront or around doesn't have a optimum card and they are purchasing something, would you ask them if you can use your card for their points?

Sounds like a great idea but I doubt I would do it, I'm too shy!

    LOL
I did that at Zellers in December.
It was Christmas shopping time. I had to get my last part of my list done.
I had a load of things and the cashier was nearly done. One woman saw me and my bags, sorta did a snoody look at me and walked to another cashier. Another old lady came behind and waited patiently. I had received a bunch 15% off your entire purchase cards from a friend that worked there. So I gave her one because I was only allowed to use one. By the time it was time for the points card I realized that I didn't have mine with me. So I gave her those too. Boy... you'd think I gave that sweet old lady the world. LOL She was so excited! She said she was going to follow me around the rest of the day. haha and that it was worth being patient.

Made me feel good in the process.

I have done the same thing, given my points to someone else. I too have asked if I could have their points, usually men who could care less.

Once a lady in front of me asked me if I wanted to get her points on my card. She saw the card in my hand. I was too shy (stupid!), so I declined. But she really persisted. So, I got about 1200 points 'coz of her!
