I think Dollar Tree is super awesome especially near holidays like Christmas! Love their gift bag selection!

Love Dollar Tree! Like others, I love that they sell bread for $1.25. I've picked up raisin bread and when I was in on Friday they had Sunshine brand bread, which was on sale at the grocery store next door for $2. I also bought Ritz Crackerfuls (cheese ones, January expiry) and a variety of Annie's cereal (sold at Zehrs, No Frills, etc) last time.
Let's not forget the huge selection of foil helium balloons they have too, they cost 3 times as much anywhere else Great addition to kids birthday presents.

Canada Bread has a relationship with Dollartree in that the drivers give them their "returns" from other stores. So if Freshco has a bunch of hots, hams, bread etc. that is close to expiring, they bring it to their Dollartree if they have one on their route. Saves the driver from completely writing off their returns as they have an opportunity to sell if even for less. So, it is completely random as to what product makes it in to a dollartree. Nothing is ordered specifically for the stores like they are for other grocery stores.

They have Betty Crocker tupperware and cooking utensils. I like to get storage and organizing bins and baskets there. I saw box of 100ct Equate sweetener and 200ct Twin sweetener. Also, there are bunches of random novels.

I also picked two of these 2016 calendars:

These are the two I got:

The world Safari one is gorgeous... I plan on using the pictures as decor (Mod Podging onto stretched canvas). There are quite of few varieties beyond these.... the box they are in will have small pics on the front of it to show what selection there is..... the two I got are going fast.... seems to be the first ones to go! My daughter is using the Inspire one in her room.

They're on an end cap towards the front of the store... there\s about 3-4 different groups of calendars .... with one box having a calendar along with a mini calendars (Puppies, horses, landscapes etc...).
Also, for anyone into the chalkboard thing, DT has both think & thicker chalkboard markers in several colors:
