Totally random discovery but Forever Young has a concert listing for a K-pop singer performing on August 13 at Roy Thomson hall. Rare occasion to hear a popular singer in Toronto! http://roythomson.com/eventdetail/KimBumSoo
(No, Wonderlist does not have a ticket giveaway for this concert.)

Thanks for the list of festivals this summer. I'm a huge fan of festivals during the summer, however I only had time to go to the Mac and Cheese festival back in June. There was some creative foods and I'll go back next year.

I am planning on going to the Taste of Danforth for the first time tomorrow, so that will be exciting.

Another popular festival this weekend is the Jerkfest festival at Centennial Park from today to tomorrow. Tickets are $32.

Some other festivals this august include

Toronto Vegan Food and Drink Festival at Fort York-Garrison Common on Aug 13
    Tickets are $10 to $20.

Just an update on the Taste of Danforth Festival. This festival was one of the cheapest and affordable food festivals I have ever attended. I have attended a couple throughout the years and I find food festivals to be expensive.

Everything was a maximum of $5 at the festival, which was great. My friend and I spent about $25 together on food there and we were very fully.

A pita wrap with schwarma or soulvaki for $5, which is a great deal because I usually I pay 8 to 10 dollars for one in the GTA. Also, the pita wraps are huge and delicious. Soulvaki was $4 which is just grilled meat on a stick. It was pricy because it was a small portion, but it was really good. There was grilled corn with butter, chilli powder or cheese powder from 2 to 3 bucks depending on the vendor. I love corn and it was very filling. My friend and I also shared a large portion of greek fries which was 5 bucks, and it was a big portion. Drinks were a dollar. Baklava was usually 3 bucks, so this festival was very affordable.

I definitely recommend this festival and hopefully I'll be going next year.

How was the music and entertainment? Friday there was rain but it cleared up, right?
I've only attended once but remember popping into various stores like Legs Beautiful and a cellphone store that also doubled as the Greek Summer Games official merchandise store outside of Greece (back in 2004).

Canada's Wonderland will have Taste of Italy days on Sat. Aug. 20 & Sun. Aug. 21.

Guess many music fans will be watching the final Tragically Hip concert somewhere tomorrow night (CBC online or on tv or in a public area).
