Never mind the interest rate, looks like if you put $1001.00 in on May 29, on May 31 you just made yourself $50.00--doesn't get much better then that! Works for me I did the free pc with RBC last summer the same way--no snags works great! Thanks

yes, this one doesn't say that you have to keep the money in for a certain length of time...like the canadian tire one did.

HOWEVER..i just applied online, and they are sending out more paperwork, so we'll see wot the fine print in that says.

but hey...they're not really specific on their requirements...they say sign up before May 31, but they didn't specify if it could be a few months ago....I WONDER... and how long has this been going on?

Anyways, because i wanted to find out more about this on, i found a thread on discussing this. Let me try to explain the best i can. As long as u open an eSavings anytime between April 13 and May 31, you are eligible. If you have more than $1001 by May 31, you get $50 Visa GC. You are allowed to have more than one eSavings account, but will recieve only one GC per client. takes about 5 min to do online. If you dont have a RBC account you can still set up, but there will be a few minor charges

    Account Closings Upon Request
    Service Fee
Within 15 days of opening account Free
Within 16-90 days of opening account $15.00 if balance is not transferred to other RBC Royal Bank account
    After 90 days Free

    Hello,

    I just saw this:
    http://www.rbcroyalbank.com/savemore

    So I opened an account:
    Emergency (00084-XXXX)

I will soon be transferring over $1000 in it from my next work direct deposit. Can you confirm that I will be eligible for the $50 card even though I already have a couple of other eSavings accounts?:

    Longterm (03021-XXXX):
    XXXXXXX (00496-XXX):

    Thanks,

Thanks, however, can you confirm that I do qualify? I did not get any confirmation when I signed up!

    Will post what they answer.

Here is the last reply I got:

My name is Brian, and I will help you with your promotion inquiry.

I have reviewed your account #XXXX and found that it was opened on April 22nd, 2009, and it does qualify for this part of the promotion. The other part of the promotion is to have a balance between $100-$1000 to receive the $25 gift card or $1001 or greater to receive the $50 gift card as of May 31, 2009. If you make sure to have that balance by that date, and keep it there till May 31st you will qualify for the second part.

After this date please allow 8 weeks for delivery of the Visa Gift Card.

Thanks for contacting us. We'll be happy to help you again if there's anything else you want to discuss.
If you'd prefer, you can also call us at 1-800-769-2511.

    Sincerely,
