For the squidogs, use any kind of sauce - I usually use something tomato based because it goes with the hotdogs.
Yesterday for my sauce, I mixed one can of beans in tomato sauce, 1/2 onion chopped, bit of vinegar, bit of soy sauce (maybe a Tbsp each ), 1/4 cup ketchup, few squirts mustard, 1/2 handful brown sugar, pepper, garlic powder. I bake in covered casserole about 45 minutes - or until onions are at desired softness.

Lol the squid dogs are cute.
Tonight I am making a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs because my mom may or may not stop in. I want to have something prepared just in case.

Yesterday, I ended up having Cracked Pepper Penne..it was amazing. Full of chicken and the sauce was made with merlot and mixed with ground beef...yummy...would definitely order again...everyone really enjoyed their food and everyone had something a little different, BIG portions! so if you're ever in the Sarnia area check out Lizards.
Not sure what to have today, putting a small beef roast in the slow cooker but usually save that for fresh sandwiches over a couple of days...maybe a bbq later if it doesn't rain but also have the roast if I just want to have that for dinner.Last edited by KelJo; Wed, Jul 23rd, 2014 at 08:56 AM.

well the guys will be beating their hairy chests at work tonight!! Fall off the bone ribs I par boiled, then very lightly brushed on the VH General Tao sauce ( I cannot believe we still have VH sauces left on that shelf downstairs! cursed great coupons from so long ago) and baked them S-L-O-W. Made boiled redskins, carrots, steamed broccoli and roasted cauliflower.

Tonight, our son came over unexpectedly (I asked, it's not that he just came - not that he isn't welcome any time, if you know what I mean) - just that I didn't have a big meal planned since it was hot.
Had heated up garlic sausage, cooked up two packages of gnocchi, and we had an amazing Caesar salad.

Making sure the end of the leftovers are eaten because we are leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday night. Here's to a long weekend because dh is a groomsman in Regina on Saturday.

I'm still on track with my healthy eating plan (mostly), we went out to lunch today with a group at work. So no supper for me, I'm not hungry. But I had grated some potatoes recently with the idea of using them creatively, they were in water in the fridge. Finally got around to using them. A bit of salt, olive oil mixed in, then tossed in the waffle iron! They came out kinda neat.

^ Zonny, also good if you make them like potato pancakes, mixing in an egg and some onion.
For supper tonight, well bless my husband who knows I had a very hard day. He went and got supper - he had boneless ribs - he just likes them with slices of bread; I had schnitzel, spaetzle and sauerkraut and a sausage.

Beef and broccoli with udon noodles. So easy, I bbq the beef to medium rare, boil the broccoli and udon noodles, cut the meat into bite size and mix altogether with thick teriyaki sauce over heat to warm for about 2-4 minutes. I love this recipe because everyone in the house loves to eat it!
