What's on your dinner menu for tonight?
Fast night tonight, KD with canned tomatoes and left over bacon.
We had chicken baked with potatoes, carrots and lots of garlic and rosemary! And aspargus. Went over pretty well.
I have an elk roast in the oven with onions and carrots...will also make smashed spuds and gravy, and yorkshire pudding...mmm. Smells SO good!
It's a stonger taste then beef, but so yummy! For some reason I can't stand the taste of the elk steak...too "wild" and gamey...but the roasts are awesome! (Roast beast in our family...lol!)
:headbang: Ristorante Vegetale Pizza :headbang:
I know what you mean Patty, I'm in the same predicament. I love cooking, but with the budget tight, I'm kind of tired of having to 'be creative' - although the men (husband and son) don't EVER complain, I don't like to serve the same things over and over. Last night was perogies and sausage patties - never had that combo before!
Anyway, 'lazy' supper for us tonight - after several days of big meals, so we're having egg salad on crusty buns and clam chowder (eek, from cans...).
It'll freak my husband out since Friday is our meatless day (I'm making shrimp egg foo yung tomorrow) - so I know he'll go graze the fridge for meat tonight anyway!
OOOHH on the elk roast! I've only ever made elk stew, and it was absolutely fabulous!
I have a whole flippin deep freeze full of elk bits and pieces...getting very tired of it! Lol! But still a lot to get through before fall...now DH is talking about getting a moose and an elk this year! EEK! Don't know what I'll do with it all, as I'm running out of interesting ways to cook it!
Curry Chicken and rice Mmmmm
Pork Souvlaki and a homemade macaroni salad
(See? I'm in the Tea Room. :P)
was busy today so i just made spaghetti.
pizza today bc i was going to get my hair cut!
I... have no idea. We eat around 10.00pm and I don't really start thing about it until 8 or so. Let's see if I can think of something by the end of this post...
Last night we had ribs, coconut rice, and steamed broccoli.
If it were just me, I would be eating nothing but this tasty olive focaccia and some sharp cheddar. But there are other people to cook for tonight. :(
Mmm, tonight we'll probably have an old fallback: Burgers! With beans and Jacqtatoes.
(Jacqtatoes: scrub and cut red potatoes in half. Toss with olive oil, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bake 350 for 30 minutes cut-side down. Flip potatoes and bake another 10-15 minutes.)
We went out for Mexican tonight :) Was going to have left over lasagna, but DH wanted to treat :)
