I was just watching Marketplace (which I hardly ever watch, but seems like a great show!) and they had an interesting segment regarding foods marketed for having DHA.
They have this segment online (and a lot of other interesting segments).

Very interesting. I haven't been allured into the DHA added products for my little one, but I have really wondered. So, now this confirms it!

I think the presented a very biased point of view. The point of manufacturers adding DHA to foods is to get extra... on top of what you eat. If you eat fish you'll get a big boost but if you don't eat fish you'll actually be getting more.. You otherwise would be getting almost no DHA in your diet. Also DHA is important in heart health.
