Just a note - be sure to put your name on the text because it does not have your phone number. I've used these before and people had no clue it was me! lol

Does anyone know if Fido customers are charged if somebody sends them a message through MSN messenger?

I think like with most carriers, when you get a MSN message, you have to pay for internet time. Thats how my Rogers was and Fido and Roger are the same company now. You could always call Fido through your cell and ask a rep.

When I used the Rogers one, it never charged my friend, so that was good.

I use computer to phone texting all the time with Virgin Mobile - just put the phone number you are texting and add @vmobile.ca - into the 'to' line in your email program - goes from your own email address. DH has limited minutes - so I text when I need something and he calls back when he has time

Was just looking for this information 2 hours ago. Found it on my own before I registered with this site. Correct the Telus link in not valid but what I did find was free pc to cell messaging for Telus recipients at: www.txtaday.com and www.freetxt.ca
Both sites permit the Telus receivers.

Thanks for giving a nice information in this post. I think like with most providers, when you get a MSN information, you have to pay for web time. Thats how my Rogers was and Spot and Roger are the same business now.
