SavingKarina Hi, I would go downtown to the market. A lot of street vendors , restaurants and stores. Have a great time!

Lots of great museums in Ottawa - National Art Gallery, Museum of Civilization, tour the Parliament Buildings, take a cruise up the Rideau Canal. Definitely go to the market - tons of great little restaurants there.

Hi everyone!
I'm from Ottawa too....was living in the Vanier/Overbrooke area and moved to the Lincoln Fields area a little less than a year ago.
I'd like to go have sushi too and meet all of you. Please let me know when and where.
Thanks!

SavingKarina--If you go to Dows Lake, you can rent a canoe or paddle boat and really enjoy some time on the canal.
A visit to Ottawa isn't complete without eating a Beavertail...there is a stand in the Byward Market. If you have children or just like to make beaded jewlery, there is a great place in the Market called Sassy Bead that you can make your own souvenir instead of buying the ones that vendors sell in the market!
Also, most museums have days or evenings where the price of admission is reduced. Just check on their websites so you can plan your visit the smart canuck way! lol!
