"Am I taking advantage of Walmart ??????????????? Walmart has the policy for giving up to $10 free back on a product that is priced wrong on the shelf, but ring in at a higher price. I got a free box of chicken patties missed priced at $5.64, but came up at $6.00.The next week they still had not changed the label. I bought another and got it for free. $12 free. I feel kind of bad, but it is thier rule."
wtg Divinedivagirl!! wow can't believe they didn't change by the following week lol. I love free food ... always tastes better for some reason. I don't think you are taking advantage ... the cashier should have called the person from that department or a manager to get it fixed.

I just wanted to add on your SCP to help inform people how it works... just incase they don't. I hope you don't mind.

Not all stores follow the SCP --- it is on a volunteer bases --- they will have a posting on the entrance doors and registers -- if not sure ask

You can only use the SCP on NON ticketed items (no price on it). You will recieve the first item free up to $10 .... just like divine's chicken. If there was 2 boxes of chicken being purchased at the same time the 2nd box would be sold at the correct price.

If over $10 you will only get $10 off the item not the wrong price. EG Lawn mower sign displayed at $20.00 but it rings at the register at $100.00. You will have to pay $90.00.

    Hi people:

I don't like to brag but I have to, to have you all remember those darling little rain checks. I see that there are posts about the Purex 96 load coupon. Well a little while ago SS had purex on sale for 9.99. When I went in to get the deal they were all out. So I asked for a rain check for two 96 loads. So tomorrow I will be using my 2 coupons for buy 96 loads and get a 40 load (7.00) free. I also have a coupon for $3.00 off. Now that should give me enough laundry detergent for 272 loads which is a little over 12 liters at $16.98. I know that my student daughter will be happy to get some laundry detergent for free. And that gives me an excuse to go visit her.

Never ever forget those darling little Rain Checks everyone.

Shoppers Drug Mart has a bargain bin once in a while, to move remainder products off the shelves. Well . . . I was shuffling through some cosmetic boxed sets, last fall, and found a lovely pink box of goodies: bath salts, lotion, perfume spray, and a pink satin night mask priced at $5.00. When I got to the check-out I got the box further discounted -- for 50 cents. Nice surprise! Nice price. ^_^

The woman just ahead of you at the supermarket checkout has all the delectable groceries you didn't even know they carried.

I'm really new at all this stuff, I am so surprised that this is "Canada's Scanning Code
of Practice" and feel empowered with this knowledge. I have had this situation happen to me before and never knew (so I didn't benefit from it). I don't think you're
taking advantage of Walmart at all!!!! You have a right and all the more power to you. I'm reading and learning..Thanks!

Imperfect rose, the rule relates to one that members of the Retail Council of Canada may observe (and some shops do have the sticker on the door or on the cashier partition). Not all members of RCC observe the rule, but some chains do.
