If you buy the cruise online you can only choose from Carnival or Holland and the prices don't reflect "sale" rates.

If you convert to Marlin (or it's 2 sister travel agency) gift cards you can buy from about 8 different cruise lines and get the bulk purchase sale rates as well.

Okay I have Kellogg's coupons $0.75 off the ones on sale and B2 save $2. I don't have Kashi coupons.

    Kashi Option

    Kashi $4.99 b5g150 airmiles
    2 batches for $49.90 300 Airmiles
    $11.10 in other groceries =$60 = 100 Airmiles
    400 AM*0.14= $56.00

    Kelloggs Option

    B5Kelloggs100 AM @ $4 (less $1 coupon for 1 batch) and (less 75 cent coupon 2nd batch)

    batch 1=$15
    batch 2= $16.25
    batch 3= 5*4=20
    batch 4=5*4=20
    Total= $71.25
    Airmiles=4 batches=400 plus 100 bonus=500 = $70.00

    Kelloggs Plus Mr. Clean
    batch 1=$15
    batch 2= $16.25
    batch 3= 5*4=20

    Mr. Clean B2G30AMs $2.99 each less $2 wub2 coupons
Need 11.25 so buy 3 batches
    3.98 * 3 =
    13.61 with tax

    Total Cash=$64.86
    AM= 3*100+100 bonus wub$60 + 3*30=490 AM *.14=$68.60

This is pretty amazing - any of these 3 options are great.

Just leave 15 for me at the Shelbourne store will you! ;-)

    Giving BTW for your charity:

    Buy 15 + a pack of gum

15 = $59.85 and the gum puts you over $60

    You should get 3 x 150 = 450 AMs

Use the B$60G100 coupon for 100 AMs more. Get the cashier to put this one in first then on the AirMiles site there's a 5X base miles coupon on $60. Don't know if they'll take it after the B$60G100 coupon but if they do it's another 15AMs on a credit card that does 1AM/$20.

    So this $61 purchase gets:

    450 + 100 + 15 = 565 AMs or approx $79 in AMs

Heck, if you even just use it for Shell gas coupons (one of the worst AM values) you'd get $64.57 worth.

Remember the Jumbo sizes have the $2 off coupons for eggos, rice krispy squares, Nutragrain, Vector/Raisin Bran.

So you basically are buying $60 cereal, getting close to $60 in Air Miles and if you buy 4 batches $12*5*4batches=$240 in coupons that are useful to trade or use if you like the products.

    Question...

when do the bonus miles show up?

Today I spent $60.01 and used the "Get 100AMs when you spend $60" coupon.
The cashier entered the coupon but it only showed up as "Bonus Airmiles Coupon - 1" on my receipt. It doesn't say how many miles or if I'm going to get 100 or 1 AM...

she told me to check my account online in 2-3 weeks

Is this normal? I'm asking because I used the "Get 10AM WUB any Kids eating right product" and my receipt for that transaction actually says "Bonus 10 AM Coupon"...whereas the 100AM bonus coupon doesn't say 100AMs. It says "1".

IF she did mess up and didn't enter the 100AM, what recourse do I have? Can I go back to safeway and argue that the "Bonus Airmile coupon -1 " is the 100AM coupon?

BTW...my $60.01 was spent with LOTS of coupons...
    for $60.01 (before taxes) I got :
    5 boxes of cereal (100AMs)
    10 boxes of Mr.Clean (150AMs)
    14 boxes of Swiffer (140AMs)
my total savings was $120 or something...

Expect 2-3 weeks. Used to be 2-3 months.

    UPDATE: Cereal Wars

OK, first there's the B5G150 on Kashi @ $4.99 each ($3.99 with coupons).

Then second there's the Kellogg's B5G100 @ $4 each. Fewer AMs but larger boxes and $50 worth of coupons if you buy 5.

Well, I was just in Safeway and there's a 3rd:

    General Mills Oatmeal Crisp:

There's no in store AM special but many of us have the B4G50 or B6G100

They're on for "$3.50" each. Six would be $21 and you get $14 in AMs

    But it gets better.

There are 2 coupons out there I'm aware of:

    $0.50 off

    and a

B2G1Free Buy 2 Oatmeal Crisp or Fibre1 and get 1 Free box of Fibre1 bars.

So if you have enough coupons.

    6 = $18 but you get $14AMs + 3 boxes of Fibre1 bars free

Further the Oatmeal Crisp has coupons good to the end of May for free popcorn at Odeon or free magazine subscriptions.

Now! How to hide 16 boxes of cereal on my wife! ;-)

kaimui... my airmiles usually show up the following saturday, the one after the promotion is over, although on the airmiles.ca it says that they have up to i think 60 days to issue regular airmiles and 90 days for bonus airmiles (just of the top of my head, so you might want to double check), the 1 is simply showing that you had 1 Airmile coupon, I don't know why they do this, it is relatively silly as most of the airmiles coupons say that you can't use any more than 1 bonus airmile coupon. If you are unsure just keep your reciept, if it not debited to your account by 90 days then you simply phone up safeway and they look into it, if they don't fix it then you go to airmiles and talk to them... The only issue I have ever had with not recieving credit was when I bought over 100 boxes of granola bars because they were buy 3 get 50 AM.. (still have over 1/2 of them left and thats after giving many many boxes away)

thanks so much for replying to my post!! It was my first airmiles shopping trip...and I calculated everything to the max...(eg. spending $60.01!) so I was kinda confused with how the points will show up and stuff

i guess I'll write down how many airmiles i should get and also keep the flyer just in case...

    thanks everyone!

Was it on an emaildirect coupon? Sometimes they say "Limit 1 Offer".

I've never had problems with multiples on the flyer offers unless they state a limit too and that's rare.

It was way back in November, it was Buy 3 quaker products for 50 AM in the flyer at 2.50 per box plus it was a week where they had a 25x base airmiles offer... I think I paid $360 in total and recieved well over $400 in Airmiles. I was going to call but they are tricky with the wait 90 days to make a claim, reciepts and whatnot seem to go missing during that time. I wasnt too miffed though since I came out ahead on the deal (after all I still recieved thousands of airmiles) and i think I will have enough granola bars for the next 30 years or so... hmm i better check the expiration date.

    Success,

    Thanks.

Do you know how you got on the "bigfoot" list? I talked directly to AirMiles trying to get on this and the "boomer" email list but the person I talked to wasn't quite sure how.

    5 Kashi 150AMs
    6 Oatmeal Crisp 100AMs
    2 Cheese 50AMs
    2 Mr. Clean 30AMs
    $60 purchase 100AMs
    5X Base Miles 30AMs (I have a $10 base mile card)
    $7 Mozzerella = No AMs

    Coupons used:

    Oatmeal Crisp 4 x $0.50 = $2
    Kashi 5 x $1
    Mr. Clean $2
    Safeway Entertainment Book $5

    Total Coupons: $10

    Total Bill: $63.08

    Total AMs: 460 effectively: $64.40

    Bonuses:

2 Movie popcorn. Theatre charges $4 for a small but I'll count it as $2 as I usually bring my own snacks.

    1 Magazine Subscription $???

3 Free Fibre1 boxes of snack bars. On the shelf $3.99 each but these things go on sale for $2.50 all the time so I'll say $7.50

Conclusion: Discounting the Mozzarella as my wife wants pizza tonight

Approximately $56 spent on AM products produced $64.40 AMs + $7.50 snack bars + $4 movie treats + Magazine subscription.
