way to go on the garage door opener win and new garage door -we had put a new garage door in last jan -but its a small garage door so we don't have an opener -maybe in a few years cause I find the garage door hard to turn the opener some days -my arthritis in my hands

I was out gardening, and only lasted about 45 minutes. I'm sweating so much !!! At least you got a top. Funny, today I was looking at some fliers, and they already have their fall clothes, boots, and boots for sale. Too early !!!

Yes, I won a new garage door and automatic opener. My opener is broken, and I got my fingers caught 3 weeks ago. Hurts like he!!. I'm going to lose at least one nail. So, I entered this contest, and won. I so needed it. Feel really lucky.

hot day it is indeed -I returned a few things to gap in the mall and popped into fortinos -then home too intense for me plus I was having a few deep hot flashes in the bay as I was trying on a few bathing suits and tank top -at least I got a tank top -hard to find now -did you win something congrats

Actually, that work out sounds refreshing right now. I've been working outside most of the day.

No, my 2 & 1/2 weeks in Florida came to an end on Sunday. It was a great trip. I had so much fun. Except that I missed my dog, Jake, so much, I wish I was still there.

are you still on your trip -I had a great day waterfit swim class -was awesome 45 minutes of pure workout in the water -great for my arthritic knees and fingers -lol

That was some storm. They often say it's going to rain, and it doesn't. So, I spent a few hours giving front and back a really good watering. I guess it's like washing your car. Wash it, and it'll rain.

yep thanks for the rep-I asked hubby last night is it gonna rain nope I don't think so he said -so all my cusions got wet -well we sure needed whatever rain we got -wow was it ever super hot babysitting yesterday -ashlyn always wants outside -so only for 15 minutes I let her go in her blow up pool then in the house -lol

nope I didn't get to rest today -I had to babysit ashlyn and off to hospital for hearing test on Tuesday morning -oh well rest the rest of the week

That sounds like a great w/end. It sounds like tomorrow will be a day of rest for you.

hi -had a great weekend with the grown kids+ashlyn in Collingwood -mind you it rained sat -but we still had a great time-family time love it -just got home this afternoon at 12.45 and did 2 loads and made homemade chicken soup -yummmm

thanks I am feeling better now -must have been a day and a half stomach bug -just went to shoppers and home don't want to overdo it as I watch my granddaughter on wednesday

-as for homes I hear you our house is 32 years old and we can only afford to do one thing a year(only one works here(parttime and on a company pension) -last year back deck before that kitchen on the very cheap end replaced cupboards and had ceramic tile put all underneath -year before that took a trip to carribean as I took care of my mom and she lived with us for 6 and a half years -so 3 years ago no reno 's done as trip was needed instead -its never ending eh but still an investment -lol

Renovating a house is VERY expensive. I bought this house about 6 1/2 years ago. It's 38 yrs. old, and had not been maintained at all. The roof had holes, my foot went through a step coming up the stairs, and when cleaning the windows in the master, the window, frame & all fell into the back yard !!! Even stripping wall paper under the windows, the wall were covered with mould, and cupboards were hanging off the walls in the kitchen. Consequently, I've had to virtually rebuild this house from the top down. $250,000. later, and I'm running out of money, but still need to do a few things, but I can only afford to do one thing a year. 2016 - the front doors; 2017 - the driveway.

yes that wind did whip right thru you -I painted the bolts black on front porch and came in did a bit of my puzzle -nice that you got a new front door sounds lovely -isn't fixing up a house expensive at times -our driveway and walkway wasn't frugal at all but needed done

You're still younger than I am, so I know how much it hurts doing all the physical 'stuff'; gardening, shovelling, cleaning, etc. Oh well, one day @ a time. I loved the heat yesterday, and found today so cold. That wind just whipped right through you.

thanks for the rep -I fouynd yesterday a bit tooo humid couldn't get anything done had no energy -decided not to sod today either as my behind still hurts and my fingers -can do it another weekend not gonna hurry when I am in my later 50"s

Boy, I'm with you there. S_cks getting older !!! Of course that strip can wait. Even after I do a couple of hours in the garden, I'm sore the rest of the day, and sometimes for the next day or two. But, at the rate I'm going, I won't be finished till Nov. lol

hi -oh I am hurting all right the day after sodding small pieces -I just woke up at 7.15 and every muscle in my body aches -even my hands -as I have arthritis in them -I still have to do the other side of the driveway on our side -told hubby that can wait til july 2 after we come back from 3 days away with our grown kids -gotta slow down when we get older -lol

I did the same for about 20 minutes; but had to come in.

thanks for the rep -yes I had a lovely weekend had both my grown kids and their spouses and ashlyn over for a supper sat night -and my daughter /hubby slept over last night from Toronto -she is glowing and 6 months pregnant -cant wait til my grandson comes in sept

oh my son would be so envious "raptors tickets " I bet you enjoyed -my son has loved the raptors since he was about 6-he went once this year -ahhh bingo I use to go with my mom about 6 times a year -I went with my neighbour last year once -I kept all my mom's bingo dabbers-lol

I'm doing well thanks. Been doing some gardening, and went to the Raptors game last night. My DS is taking me to bingo tomorrow, and the Jays game next Tues. Boy, do I ever love the spring & summer. There just isn't enough hours to do everything I love doing.
Oh, it's going to be a boy, congrats. I hear that tea is good. Unfortunately, I don't like tea, although I love the aroma of most of the flavoured teas.
