hi andit! I just have my " follower" ( Hamlet ) Wherever my feet go that is where his paws trot alongside. I keep saying out loud to him....just stay under the desk, I'm coming right back! am only going pee! BUT he just won't listen....hee hee
Hi, Andi, hope the suggestion works WHEN you buy fresh breadmaker yeast! I'm fine, walking better month by month with the help of pain drugs...not so much for my knee, as my hip; just fallin' apart lately! No, Jenny does not regard being chased around the coffee table beneath her station. First we play toss and fetch the squeaky thing (twice is her limit, then she just disregards it), then I have to chase her and try to catch her butt...lol...I get tired much faster than she does. Then she goes to 'her' leather chair in the front window, looks me up and down as if to say, "sit!", which I obediently do (after getting my coffee/tea,phone,remote) and there we sit, watching the world go by...they're such a comfort, aren't they? Take care, Sweetie...I do have a couple of fool-proof (no offence ) bread machine recipes I'll PM to you, okay? Tomorrow.
oh you betcha! The pooches get the royal treatment when we sit down, we wait till we are about ready to dive in and then we make up a large plate for them both to eat in the other room.......that gives us maybe 5 minutes tops of no begging while they chow down on turkey/dressing/gravy and sweet taters! They are fast eaters! then they peer through the holes of the gate and start the soft whining cry which escalates to a yelp if nothing is tossed to them.....can you say SPOILED!?? ha ha Have a wonderful long weekend and lots of turkey.
Mmmm, what is it about tacos that makes the meal so much more fun!? I love laying out lots of various bowls of toppings and laugh when my DD turns her nose up at the thinly sliced raw bell peppers! ha ha
ahhh I think I know where your mom lives -nice area -yes my daughter hates coming home to Hamilton 3 weekends in a row -sat was ashlyn 2nd birthday -next week thanksgiving-then the following sat or sunday her other neice on hubby's side is turning 1 -their friends(from highschool ,university) that live in grimsby ,Burlington say to her I cant believe you can live in a condo let alone if you have a baby in the future raise a child in Toronto -her best friend was raised in the beaches in Toronto -I sometimes wish as I get older (like 65-75)she was living in my own city but I know that's not feasible cause her career is in t.o and her and hubby love toronto
For autumn rep, I give you thanks!
ahh thanks for the well wishes for my brother so nice of you -lovely pictures you post to of your home town -my daughter lives in same city as you and loves her city infact she hates coming home a few weekends in a row for commitments here in Hamilton
sounds like a scene out of the movies!! It has been a long while since I have been down to the Distillery district.
Well, that's just crazy! Things are okay here - just SO very glad it is going to be warming up here today and on the weekend - inching to 20. Have a fab weekend!
Hiya! Was this near you? http://www.torontosun.com/2015/09/16...llery-district
my guys eat anything that is people food ( if they sneak it or we give it to them ), tomatoes are not something they would eat ravenously, but if I toss a cherry tomato to them they race for it. I used some of last years sauce to make homemade Manicotti and lasagna today. Both are cooling now, I feel quit tired from all that Blue jays action yesterday. Must nap before today's 1:00 p.m. start! Enjoy the rainy ( chilly ) weather today, lol.
I think Beachdown is a little upset with you, Oh well.
This was broken into 2 parts! ( apparently i went over the allowed 1000 words again ) you have an actual allergy to tomatoes? man that would be tough here, we eat lots both raw and cooked. My Litre jars that were processed last August ( I only have about 8 left! ) are sauce, same with these new ones but I made it even thicker than last years batch ( let it cook down longer ) Last year I made many 500 ml jars of salsa and there are still enough left that I did not want to do up anymore of that. We were in a real lasagna faze for a while, I would make up a very large deep pan every few weeks, so the sauce does get used up in that. We do use it to make chili, sometimes add a jar to a soup, and poured over things like Chicken Parmesan, or added to traditional meatballs/spaghetti dishes.
.We also use commercial jars ( Garden Select @ sale prices for .99 a jar is the first choice ) and we will often mix and match some store bought with some homemade when doing up a meal. The best part about it is there is no salt/sugar or other unknown ingredients in ours. The family is now accustomed to what sauce should taste like naturally, without all that extra sweetness and saltiness.
I am very pleased that today's 40% POP happened to be a good soaker in the am. Last night was one night too many in the recent "sweatfest" that was the long weekend. No A/C here but at least there was moving air. Sun pm mid-afternoon was like "where did the breeze go?" Thankfully, my Fortino's had a supply of no name freeze pops by the dairy section when I shopped on Sat. Lived on freeze pops during the daylight hours as more solid food was strictly for cooler hours. You made a valid point-people who made good money are chasing after something that by most rights should go the family member that did the hard work and spent on repairs. She needs to reclaim some if not all of the expenses from the house sale after the agent gets their commission and before the other family members get their shares.
RRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIPPPPPP! That is the sound of the family being torn apart. You are right about that, this will not end pretty. It is unfortunate that there is not more caution taken regarding earning/spending, needs/wants, a 6 figure income means diddly squat if you've lived way beyond your means. I know your friend does share much of the burden with her own lack of savings. It is a harsh lesson indeed.
I have been feeling just dreadful lately. I haven't been able to eat for 4 days. It is just impossible to convince myself to eat due to my medication in particular the chemo drugs my taste buds are all screwed up. At least I don't have to go to PMH this coming week, but I still have to take my drugs on Tuesday & Thursday. I am still fighting & according the my scan results, I am remaining stable. Maggie is not liking this heat, but she still insists on going outside to try & squirrel watch, bunny watch, etc.... but she comes in & looks for treats & compliments. Hope your critters are doing OK. xx
scary thought but I believe ( WW3 ) is a reality now. There are just too many people on this planet and many want everything someone else has. I feel the sadness for your friend, it is just too bad that when she was actually caring for her parents that something wasn't put in her name with regards to the house. I forget, was she not working at all while she cared for them? I can see how the siblings might resent that period of time and view that as a free ride ( not paying any rent, etc. ) With ours ( DH ) my SIL took turns at the house care giving BUT soon fights broke out, things went " missing " bank accounts were depleted and the name calling, argh!! When the " animals were already out of the barn " they tried to have my DH ( eldest ) " repair the gate " Sorry gals, you all f*cked it up, you deal with it! We could care less what happened because of their greed. No respect at all for how hard their parents lives had been and what it took to accumulate what they had.
ha ha That made me chuckle ( shouldn't have made it passed childhood ) , well you know in our case we just walked away and let the vultures take whatever they wanted, karma exists!! I totally forgot I do have oatmeal flour already ground up!! I'll use that. thanks.
thank you andit! You know I JUST tossed out the very last bag of all purpose flour I had ( iI SWEAR it was 3 years old anyway ) but there was only about 2 lbs left in it. All my remaining flours in the cupboard are gf, and I will heed your warning about using the rice flour with these cookies. I do have tons of chick pea flour?? wonder what that would turn out like, I'll keep ya posted on the results.
apple cookies? Sure! I'll try to make a batch, when you have time shoot me the recipe. Lord knows I STILL have many red apples falling off my tree out front. It is funny how much we can salvage from them ( peeling, coring, trimming off the spots, etc. ) and free fruit is a good thing.
Well, it's really nice of you thinking of beinging that doggy into the fold and helping him out if he needs it. Yes, hopefully he has a home but it would be nice if they would let you know one way or another. Let me know if you hear anything. I truly hope Lily is doing fine again and her health stays good.
Oh, good heavens!!!! That was amazing. But no. Jenny would never fall for that. Being a princess and all, and not knowing she's a d-o-g (we haven't told her, yet), I'm pretty sure she'd feel she's too highly evolved to do tricks. But that was unbelievable...when it went backwards?! Omg!! It is good to see, however, that the same ear flips up as Jenny's...one of the major responsibilities of a Doxie owner is to continuously place the ear in the factory authorized position. Thank you for posting it to me...what a darling pup!!
Thanks. My friend's in critical condition, but responsive, so praying. They certainly do !!! They're such a huge part of our lives. Jake's still not great. He get's Vit B12 shots weekly, his allergies aren't under control, and next Wed he's having an ultra sound looking for answers about either his liver or intestines; depending on the results, surgical biopsies are the next step. I certainly didn't count on all this emotional stress, and the financial burden.
Oh, Andi, I hope Lily-dog just has a little case of the flu or too much sun....sending healing thoughts her way....hugs, Lynn
lol!! ( I say the cat is smart! ) What an awesome day I am having, just feeling very upbeat! maybe the sunshine has done this or maybe it is the Blue Jays!!
