Thanks for the rep! - and the comment you left made me laugh, ah - who's in charge? Well, it's the little one, Vader. She's nuts (which is fine, fits right in with the rest of the famdamily), and gets her older sister and mom running around! She just had a huge growth spurt and sadly (for me!) is out of that 'little kitten' stage, but of course she's still SO cute and still small(er than the others...). It's been working out well having the three girls! Hope things are going well with you!
We've totally thought about keeping a catty house, lol! However, of the older kittens, it's the male who is a snugglebutt (which we all love); the female is more aloof and a BIG troublemaker. Of the wee kittens, each personality is amazing - one's a bit more clingy, but of course all of them are sweet. I know about the size changes, we've had it happen with cats previously... About the B&W, yup, it's from their grandfather. He was Boris, a huge brute of a cat - also he had wild white hairs on the dark fur, which one of the kittens has. The colouring is such an amazing thing with kitties - when Taffy was born she was all white (Ragdolls change colour over about 8 months) - but in her litter there was also a snowshoe lynx, a B&W one, and assorted stripeys. For now, it's just very cool having the different ages of the cats in the house - it's really fun!
What about keeping a house full of girls? Or would they be too catty? Sorry, couldn't resist. They're all so sweet. But where did the black & white come from? Is that a throwback to a grandparent? Oh & just wait til Vader gets older, he might end up much smaller. When my friend took in a stray & ended up with 5 cats for the price of 1, of the 4 kittens, the big bossy one has turned out to be a quiet shy tiny thing, & the runt is twice the size of mama cat. The middle 2 stayed very similar in size & personality. I do miss those days when I was babysitting the darlings (who got into *everything*).
Thanks for the rep! Yes, we finally names one - Vader, the one with the darker mask on him, the biggest kitten. Though it's SO very cool to have the three little ones, the two bigger teens, and Taffy (just turned 6!) - I know we can't keep them all! Tough decisions to make! Frankly, my husband has been extremely patient!
Uh oh, you`re outnumbered 2 to 1 - the cats have taken over!!! Of course, when do the humans actually rule in a house with cats?
Thanks for the rep! The babies are doing well - they are almost three weeks old, and pretty much ready to get out of the box; they are close to boosting themselves out. So that just means trouble, lol! Each of the three has a very different personality, so it's fun! The seven month old teens have been great with them, and Taffy is being a great mom!
I`m the same way. I woke up this morning with Fire & Ice in my head & wondered if there was anyone else as obsessed by poetry as I am.
Thanks for the rep - and the poetry thread! I could fill it myself with posts! But at least it encouraged me to pull out a volume this morning!
