Agree to the " hating " of them. Worst delivery system ever! the locks stick and freeze up in winter too. Only advantage is not risking slipping on any ice at say 50 houses or so, just stand in one spot ( and freeze yer butt and hands off! lol)

you scored on that location then! I have 1 odd little green community box that is for 7 house only! ( those 7 homes were built just 2 yrs ago, brand new, in between a stretch of existing homes on either side, so THEY have to cross the street, unlock a box every day to get their mail. so stupid eh?

Oh I do not think I would expect a tip if your mail isn't coming right to your house. I think the group mail boxes on the street have made the CS part of our job worse, like you say you never see them, no chance to chit chat at all. What a shocker that would be to see a hot coffee in the box though eh? lol

Did you know that some customers actually tip me at Christmas? I was shocked when it happened the very first time many yrs ago, I had no idea people did that. Anyways I make the same " lame joke " every yr. at work saying " I tipped my postie a $100.00 this yr. she's fabulous! " hee hee. I totally missed the news on tv cleaning the kitchen with my DD, I wanted her help before she takes off for her friends house soon. Otherwise I would not have done it at all, lazy. Glad it looks all tidy now.

oh but thank goodness he isn't barky when you are out, neighbours would hate that. I have proof mine are weird too, as I deliver mail to my own address, ( I am my own Post lady) and each day when I walk up the stairs to the attached house to mine ( because obviously I ain't dropping letters in my box to take them out later, that would be silly, lol) and they never make a darn peep! I have even stepped loud on the steps of that house to make sure that I make noise, and not a peep out of them.
I then have to listen to them freak out when the young lads that live there comes home from school and walk up the same stairs. Like I said weirdo dog behaviour.
My DH says they smell me, and know it is me out there, I am not sure.

God we are silly when it comes to our puppy love ( mine will always be pups to me no matter how old they get ) my two drive me bonkers with their " panicked frantic barking " that says, " OMG! A killer is at the door!! " when yes it is a kid from across the street trying to sell me cookies or something, dear God why do they react that way for every knock?

Hey,

I have a bunch of purina one stackables and dont want them to go to waste. My dog does not eat this and I would like to do a good deed and use them to donate food to a local shelter. Just wondering if you could share any tips with me...ie what size are you buying @ what price with what coupons and where you donate. Any help would be great. Also, did you end up rounding up enough of what you were looking for? or are you still looking? Let me know, I may trade them????

You really do have to get on some of the coupon trains and trades. Winnipeg has a better selection than I do here in Thompson, but you are right, not as many as Ontario and Alberta/BC. The best thing about the trains is you can get coupons that are not available in your area.
